By that we usually think we found #freedom and don't feel to have any #dogma, but we inherit the traditions of religions and we use this concept to build our spirituality. >[!info] Spirituality is created as a #path towards freedom, but with tools that come from #tradition, #culture and #religion. One #preconcept of spirituality is that if you look at it from the outside, the people seem not to follow the #law of what is normal according to the culture. It is normal to live a religion in a culture, but not normal to live spirituality outside the context of religion - it is then rather called a sect or #cult. They are lateral aspects of a religion that are not approved by the entire society. It is related to pagans, who follow other traditions than the rest, as they see things different. For spiritual people, even if they want to be outside of the normality, they still follow the idea of religions. ### What does it mean to be spiritual? Spirituality means to breathe. A spiritual person is the one that has the ability to breathy harmonically, not in stress, being in the center. When you breathe properly, you have nothing to hide, whatever you think, feel and do is coherent. >[!attention] Spirituality means to breath calmly. It is not to connect with beings in other dimensions or spirits, to study #philosophy or do many activations. It is to know how to #breathe and stay calm in yourself. It is not related to a dogma or religion, tradition or philosophy. >[!attention] Spirituality is about to live calm and #coherent in #harmony. As humans we are descendants of mammals and lived the idea of #survival in a hostile #environment. So we looked for ways to survive, like taking care of the #herd and protect the others. The more together, the better the chance to survive. This defines the >[!cite] Religion >religare = all tied up, all together For thousands of years were a tool to survive, created by cultures and traditions with the idea of protecting the clan, ensuring the safety of the individuals. The religion gave security to the people, so they knew what to do, what is their #destiny and feel safe. **Spirituality is also inside religion[^1]**. In this safe environment you find your balance, connect to the #divine and find calmness. So religion was not bad, it was useful. By that people could keep going, not being confused by different things outside. **We can relate religion with a GPS**. Like the voice telling you where to go, so you are not lost. It tells you the path to follow. But there might be a moment where you question the path, want another speed or other routes. Then, the GPS will constantly try to lead you back to the proposed route. You start to feel free to seek for another path, but something inside brings you to the same tradition and culture again. This is the moment when you picture that spirituality is related with #archangel, other beings, spirits and others - but that is not the case., as we use the concepts of religions in that. There is nothing wrong in that, it was maybe the traditions that your family and culture was working with. When you open yourself to go a different path, having this GPS inside helps you to not get lost when you decide to experiment with it. It keeps you feeling safe. Otherwise you might get lost on your way. >[!note] Spirituality is like an #ocean, religions are like fish inside the ocean. When we become spiritual, we understand that religions are only tools to be able to swim in the ocean. So it is beautiful to have many different fish in the ocean, imagine there would be only one kind - that would be boring. **We have the conflict to believe that there is only one "best" fish (religion).** >[!info] It is not that religions allow spirituality, it is that spirituality uses religion as a tool. >There are only tools that show you how to get to a destiny, but there are many ways to reach the destiny. You are free to chose which path to take, no one can force you. In history we were often forced into a specific religion, but that does not mean that we have to accept it. If you accept that religion when you are forced, it is because you allow it, nobody obligates you. It's your #decision, your path. >[!attention] Every path and religion goes to the same destiny, which is #love and #unity. >So it does not matter which one you chose. If you become spiritual, you understand that the only important thing is to be coherent with what you think, what you feel and what you do. The rest - philosophy or dogmas or religion - is like clothing. You can change it, but you stay you. The difference is when you allow the fashion to determine your personality. **But when you know who you are, your fashion will never determine who you are.** You can go to any church, mosque, temple, ... #ceremony and behave like it is supposed from you, but when you know who you are you can accept it and act properly. You are the ocean, you would not judge the fishes! >[!attention] Spirituality is not about to _believe_, it is about to _be_.
