Poseidon is the brother of #Zeus and the god of the seas, the #ocean. Neptune comes from the etruscan people who lived in the italian peninsula long before the romans arrived. The Etruscan came from the region of Kazachstan as all indo european peoples. In their languages water was called "Nepa", "nepita" is humidity and wet. Neptune means "The one that is wet". #### About gods and archetypes In the beginning of #humanity they did not have the idea that there was a god outside creating #everything. They thought that every water shaped a god - the ocean, river, lakes, streams ... they all are the water as one. The being representing all the water was called the #divinity of the water. **The #divine was not something outside creating #matter, it was the matter itself unified by one attribute.** _When talking about the gods here, we do not talk about aliens coming as gods. We talk about **concepts**!_ In the #past they did the same as we do now: they took things from their #reality, deriving a #concept from that and creating one #being representing this concept. Thus, the divinty of water. **Today we speak of #archetypes, which is essentially the same**! So the people in the past were more or less talking about archetypes, describing an inner #light that they share - like all the waters share the same light. In the ancient language light was called "dehowa" or "dewa", which is the origin name of "day" and also "divine". >[!info] A god or divinity is describing the _light_ all the objects have together, >The meaning of all the things together. > Later in the history they created the image of the gods, _honoring the images_. But in the beginning it was the honoring of the archetypes. When we say today that the archetypes are creating the concepts of our reality, its the same what happened in that time with the gods. #### Attributes and history of Neptune **We relate Neptune with ocean, water, deep emotions.** But this planet was discovered in the 19th century, as it is far away. It was named by someone not using #astrology. All the #attributes we relate to Neptune - the ocean, deep waters, emotions, #subconscious of the ocean - existed, but not describing the ocean in ancient times. They had no name for this #planet as they were unaware of its existence. They called the space behind their known star plane as _deep space_ that holds everything. So they had the concept of something that holds everythng together, it was the #profound, the place where you can find the whole being, all things together, to huge to grab it. You cannot handle this, so it handles you. So the attributes of Neptune existed before the planet was discovered. When this planet was discovered, it got that name by the Astrophysicst, the concept became the ocean and was related with the planet. Thus, the vision of Neptune as an ocean exists for ~200 years. Essentially, that happened with all the planets, that they were related with attributes and concepts later, that did not exist before. Like #Mars, it was never related with #war by the greek! The meaning there would be that the #gravity of Mars has an effect on us that pushes us forward, so we put the attribute of Mars to that #energy, abbreviating it to relate it with war. It is the story or interpretation of that energy it has, it is an #analogy helping us in our psychology to understand something in the outside. >[!example] Water shaping a stone >When water flows long enough over stones, it will smoothe their edges. We say the water is shaping the stone. That's it, objectively. >Seen from #psychology we see that you can become like water, flowing around the obstacles and shaping your enemies, going beyond. So we ask this divinity to guide us in our life and help us in our conflicts. >[!info] By psychology and interpretation we create the divinity based on real things in our world. >We project our psychological ideas to these things, describing how these things in the outside determine our lives from our point of view. So for some of us Mars would be a planet that pushes us forward, for others it is the planet of war. Our #perception of #reality is in our mind. It is so huge and umlimited that it is impossible to handle it. **Instead of us using it, it uses us.** #### The subconscious >[!attention] This is the subconscious, controlled by Neptune - the huge aspect invisible that holds and controls us. Neptune gives the shape of an ocean - that is impossible to handle, so huge that you cannot have control over it. **You need to learn how to swim and dive in the subconscious!** The #subconscious is controlling us in everything we do, in every action, every #experience that is recorded in the memory of our body, in every #movement. **That movement is called #emotion.** >[!note] Emotion is the only thing that you can feel within and in the outside without the need to modify it. It is like a bridge connecting the subconscious within and the conscius outside. You can create an emotion in the inside and this emotion can modify and control the outside, and vice versa. It's the only aspect that does not need a modification to become inside ourselves. **Neptune is the subconscious, and this subconscius can only be created through feelings and #sensation**. All things that are around us can only perceived by our five #sense that receive the information that is processed by our body. When we are awake, we absorb the information and when we sleep, we process this information, putting everything together. **The dreaming process, specifically the oneiric moment, its the only moment where we can access the subconscious directly**. During the dreams the absorbed informations are mixed and under the Neptune's aspect of the subconscious. The absorbed information has no space, no time, no physical rules, that means in the subconscious there are no #law for #time and #space. This is _surrealism_ - above reality and outside the structures of reality - _abstract_. >[!attention] This would describe the subconscious: abstract and surreal. The subconscious is the one that allows us to see other options, with #intelligence and #imagination to connect with something limitless. That is what makes us what we are. **What we call #spirituality, is the abstraction of what the reality shows us.** Our body is absorbing information from the environment constantly, our #brain is trying to understand it, mixing it in the subconscious. This surreal abstraction is what we perceive as #connection with spirituality, its the process of understanding the things from a different #perspective. By hallucinogenic drugs many people can connect better with the spiritual world, because by abstraction they are able to connect with the "environment" of the subconscious. >[!info] Everything we know from the spiritual world is not something real, it is abstract. Spirituality is basically the interpretation we have about our own perceptions and #existence. Everyone has thus a different spirituality! **So spirituality is just a different perception of myself.** >[!attention] This is the teaching of #unconditional_love, that each one has its own way to perceive existence! This is why we cannot judge the way how others perceive reality. What Matias is saying here, is his own interpretation of his subconscious - just his. Mine could be different, i could have a different way to perceive the information from my own subconscious. >[!note] The subconscious is the filter of interpretation of spirituality. The reason why we learn, speak, study, share and belong to cultures is to open and widen the perception of our reality. **Neptune is telling us to have our eyes wide open!** One #eye watching the outside to understand the world and one watching within to try to understand our way of understanding the world. We humans are usually afraid of the subcoscious because it is so free and wide that we cannot face or handle it really. Our bodies are designed to control life, but we cannot handle something that is impossible to control. >[!attention] **Neptune is teaching us that it is ok to lose control.** >That we can swim. You cannot hold the water between your hands, you cannot hug it. But **you can learn how to flow with and within water, to swim and dive!** We need to allow ourselves to cry, to let the subconscios allow itself to express in the outer world and let it all go. Allow yourself to express your emotions instead of holding them. If you think you have learned everything and healed your whole history and still find yourself crying - it is ok! There is no #competition, we are not running to see who is the best and most centered.
