Capricorn thinks the only way to do it right is to do it by itself. >[!attention] The key of Capricorn is the work, bit by bit, trying to accomplish its #goal. >The most positive aspect is constancy. #### The history of Capricorn >[!cite] Capricorn >capri = masculin goat, like a ram >cornio = horn >The horny ram, the male that breeds the goats #Aries is the ram, but **Capricorn is the ram that is half fish.** That is different ;) In the #Middle_East, the goats where very important for what they gave to humanity - flesh, wool, bones, milk, .. everything was used from that animal. So the ram was #sacred, given by the gods so we can survive in the dry region because they eat really everything. The ram was thus related to the sun. Ra is the #god representing the #sun in #egypt, he has the face of the ram. The goats were also used for sacrifices. #Tragedy is the #ceremony to kill the ram, giving its blood for the ceremony of the sowing for the new cycle to come. In ancient times, humans thought that the way to communicate with the gods was through the #blood. Because we have the #divine inside us, the flowing blood is giving us life. >[!cite] Sacrifice >sacrum office = the work of the sacred things. >When you do a sacred work or job. They drank the blood to communicate with the gods. The same way we use the rams as a #sacrifice for the gods, different religions thought that we were also the rams and lambs of the gods. So also humans had to make sacrifice with their blood to make the god happy. In the middle east, in the semitic traditions like the Jewish or Moslems, they used the rams to sacrifice until **#Jesus_Christ came telling them that we are the lambs and rams of god, we have to make the sacrifice by ourselves and do not need to use animals for this.** They left those traditions then behind. After the death of Jesus, the christians spreading all over #Europe started the idea that everyone who believed in the ram was a #devil, that is against the Christ. That helped a lot to get away from the animal rituals. **So they created the image of the devil from the ram to tell that the sacrifice of goats is for the devil and not for god.** Thus, the Capricorn shape was called _Baphomet_, that was the god of the fields related to hard work, giving the strength for women to get pregnant, good sowing and harvest. They used the image of Baphomet to create the image of the devil where in fact it is the god of #fertility, helping the women and farmers. Because it was the goat, that had all tools for survival. The devil was created from the Capricorn image of Baphomet, to get the christians away from the old traditions of sacrifiesing blood. In #greece the #symbol of Baphomet was the #Faun. Also known as Pan (Peter Pan), representing the fertility and happyness of the earth, but he wanted to be alone, living in the mountains. He helped the gods. The biggest monster of all was Typhon, a huge son of #Gaia, the earth, that was so big he could take all the mountains with his hands. His head touched the sky and stars, thus destroying everything when just moving. When the gods wanted to kill this being for this reason, Faun informed Typhon by touching the horn, making the sounds letting the gods know that the monster was coming. This monster followed Pan and tried to hide himself in the waters of the Nile. #Zeus then made him half a fish, so he could adapt to this new environment to accomplish his purpose. Typhon is the huge monster rising up in the sky, destroying everything. So everyone was afraid of him. That was also the name for the change of the weather, that brought the sandstorms, #ice in the mountains.... it is describing that the winter is coming. The winter can potentially kill us and the first ones coming down the mountains when winter is coming are the goats with the shepherds and they came to the rivers to survive. >[!info] So the ram represents the survival of the winter through the #symbol of Capricorn. >We needed to survive, winter is the toughest time, where you have to work hard and consistent to get through that time. **That is why Capricorn is tough for people, it is the one that takes us to the limit to work as much as we can - sometimes for no return.** >[!attention] The devil does not exist by itself, it is an image created by the christians for the christians to avoid the worship of old traditions. **The most positive aspect of Capricorn is _consistency_.** #### The spiritual attributes of Capricorn and earth **Capricon is part of the #earth_trinity, representing the #spirit aspect.** Its interesting that Capricorn is the spirit aspect, as it is so heavy by focusing on the hard work. >[!attention] The way to connect with the spirit of earth is by the minerals, the diamonds and crystals like quartz. >Diamonds and crystals are born under big pressure and getting them is hard work. >[!info] The #diamond talks about #evolution on earth. All the most beautiful things of earth come from the #pressure of millions of years of evolution inside earth, with patience and consistancy becoming better as we evolve. We usually relate spirits with something very high level and subtile like air. >[!attention] The spirit is the best version of itself, the best aspect activated of something! For earth, this result of biology, the materialized physical world, is the best it could create. For earth, the spirit is not subtle, it is the #beauty it could manifest through consistancy and patience over millions of years! **Capricorn is telling us we can always improve ourselves**. If we have patience and consistency as a way to improve, we will evolve, knowing that there is no goal and ending, because you can always become better. Capricorn is far away from religion that tells us we become free in the heavens, where **Capricorn says that we have to evolve and improve, its our job to do it by ourselves, there is no saviour.** #### The negative aspects of Capricorn One of the negative aspects of Capricorn is that **it does not see any other options than the way it thinks it has to go**. It is difficult for Capricorns to change their minds regarding the beliefs, being **trapped in their thoughts**. To be #successfull is the main goal, everything follows that directive. **Even people are things that can be used as tools**, to bring a Capricorn to its goal. **The opposite of Capricorn is Cancer**, saying that you don't have to work a lot as long as we are all together sharing the love between us. #### The energy of capricorn for Aquarius It brings us the #patience. We need to go step by step when we create a new #humanity. It will not happen tomorrow or right now.
