It mirrors the Executive Branch of the United States of America, headed by the President, and is responsible for implementing and enforcing laws, managing national affairs, and overseeing government agencies. ## Staff The Executive Department is led by [[Michael Ketsdever]], the Director of the Executive Department. His expertise and leadership ensure that students gain a comprehensive understanding of executive functions. Michael has been managing the department since 2017. # Simulation Interaction ## How to Join Students can join the Executive Department by running for and being elected to key positions such as President, Vice President, or other cabinet positions during the annual camp elections held at the beginning of the program. ## What You Will Learn and Do Members of the Executive Department will undergo "Executive Orientation," where they will learn about the roles and responsibilities of executive leadership, how to manage a cabinet, the process of decision-making at the executive level, and the importance of inter-departmental collaboration.
