Even with this propserity, the rise of "[[Dudeism]]" in the capitol city of Dudeipest gave rise to a number of tumultuous years in the state. This turmoil culminated into the mass exodus of citizens who were followers of "The Dude", fleeing east and founding [[The Theocratic People's Republic of Dudeistan]]. This loss of population has brought about an economic downturn as workers are hard to find. The state has also been saddled with the bill from the extensive exploratory parties sent into the east, which were supposed to return the investment by harvesting the resources found into the new eastern lands. Since the parties of the explorers were covertly populated by "The Dude", they had never planned on returning or paying back the investment made into them. The State of East Kaye is now in a time of hardship due to the lack of skilled workers and the larger bill for the explorations. As of today, there is no congressional delegation from The State of East Kaye, as The Theocratic People's Republic of Dudeistan and [[The United States of Price]] both claim the territory as their own. The land ins under dispute and govern-ship of the state is claimed by the Dudeistani Ambassador. ##### Vexillology ____ The Second Governor of East Kaye, son of First Governor Kaye, Governor Kaye II was a strong proponent of "good" flag design and adoption. The governor created a standard process and tradition of creating and designing a new flag design every five years. This tradition continues and every general election, the residents vote on a new design, or to keep the provisional design. The creation and implementation of the tradition is taken up by the [[United States Vexillology Commission]] (USVC) each election cycle. ##### Collapse --- The government of East Kaye collapsed in 2070 following [[The Great EPCN Ice Storm]].
