The “True Believers”, feeling that they were under persecution by the Cosgrovian government, left and moved east into unsettled lands. After quickly setting up a Republic, the population spread across the rest of the continent and settled all remaining lands. While there have been no formal hostilities, TinTinistan and Cosgrovia have a heavily guarded boarder without any immigration or emigration between the two. Being that [[TinTin]] was born and created his philosophy in the city state of Demos, TinTinistan claims the island Democracy as part of their territory. This claim brings TinTinistan and the TUSR into constant political stress, stemming from the TUSR’s official declaration of protection for Demos. The internal structure of the TRTT is largely unknown due to the tight media and information control by the government, however many citizens of TinTinistan say that life is deeply intertwined with the religious and political doctrines imposed by the theocratic dictatorship led by [[The Grand High Tin]]. ### Life in TinTinistan Life in TinTinistan revolves around a tightly controlled fusion of religious devotion and political loyalty. The citizens navigate their daily existence within the parameters set by the theocratic regime, seeking solace and purpose in their faith and contributing to the nation's prosperity through their sacred duty of tin mining. ##### Religious Devotion Religion plays a central role in the daily lives of TinTinistan's citizens. The worship of the Great Tin Deity is not only a spiritual practice but also a civic duty. Rituals and ceremonies are conducted regularly, and adherence to religious doctrines is expected. The populace believes that their devotion to the Great Tin Deity is essential for the prosperity and stability of the nation. ##### Tin Mining as a Sacred Duty Tin mining is not just an occupation but a sacred duty for the citizens of TinTinistan. The faithful see their work in the tin mines as a direct contribution to the divine will of the Great Tin Deity. The extraction of tin is considered a holy act, and the metal holds profound religious significance. ##### Authoritarian Rule and Obedience The government, under the leadership of the Grand High Tin, enforces a strict authoritarian rule. Obedience to the religious and political authorities is paramount, and any form of dissent or opposition is swiftly suppressed. The Tin Guardians, the loyal enforcers of the Grand High Tin, maintain order and ensure compliance with the regime's mandates. ##### Prosperity and Divine Favor The citizens are promised prosperity and divine favor for their unwavering loyalty to the theocratic regime. They believe that by adhering to the teachings of the last prophet Tin Tin and following the guidance of the Grand High Tin, they secure a favorable future for themselves and their descendants. ##### Limited Personal Freedoms While the promise of divine favor is compelling, personal freedoms are limited. Citizens may feel constrained in expressing dissenting opinions or engaging in activities deemed contrary to religious doctrine. The government's control extends into various aspects of life, including education, media, and personal relationships. ##### Social Structure and Hierarchy TinTinistan's society is organized hierarchically, with the Grand High Tin at the pinnacle. The religious elite, who interpret and propagate the doctrines, hold significant influence. The Tin Guardians enforce the laws and maintain order, ensuring the stability of the theocratic regime. Social standing is often determined by one's adherence to religious practices and loyalty to the regime. ##### Hope for Stability Despite the challenges and restrictions, many citizens of TinTinistan embrace the theocratic dictatorship in the hope of achieving stability and an end to the historical conflicts that plagued the nation. The promise of divine favor and prosperity serves as a beacon of hope, encouraging the populace to endure the hardships imposed by the regime. ### Immigration and Expansion Much like [[The Transnolvanian Union of Socialist Republics]], immigration into the Republic is allowed, however the emigrants must adhere to the doctrine of [[Tintinism]] and pledge never to leave the Republic. Emigration is strictly curtailed but is possible, especially for renouncers of Tintinism. # International Concerns A founding member of [[The UhN]], the TRTT does hold embassies in all nations on the planet and a representative in The UhN. However, the TRTT is under pressure from [[The United Kingdom of Cosgrovia]] and [[The United States of Price]] to allow religious liberty and freedom of speech. This pressure creates political tension between the aforementioned nations. Generally at peace with the other nations of the world, the TRTT is in a constant state of tension with [[The Transnolvanian Union of Socialist Republics]] for social/political reasons and [[Demos]] due to their claim over the island city state. There has not been formal international relations between TRTT and [[The Empire of Bahreim]].
