In the [[Yahoverse]], a Gulthias tree is a twisted, evil tree that grows from the malevolent energy at a site of great destruction. Canonically, Gulthias trees grow from the sites where vampires are staked through the heart, and this is the implied origin of the Gulthias Tree on [[Yester Hill]] in [[Barovia]] that the [[Curse of Strahd Adventuring Party]] encounter during the [[Curse of Strahd Campaign]]. However the origins of Gulthias Trees are expanded in the [[Oceanpilgrim Campaign]], when the [[Oceanpilgrim Adventuring Party]] finds one at the bottom of the [[Sunless Citadel]] that grew from the site of an ancient massacre of drow priestesses of [[Eilistraee]] by followers of [[Vhaeraun]] (a homebrewed backstory that diverges from the official [[Sunless Citadel Module]]). #Item/OP/CoS/Canon/Homebrew
