Acreom is a proprietary notetaking and task management app written in [[Javascript]]. - [Website](https://acreom.com/) - GitHub - [Documentation](https://acreom.com/docs) - [AlternativeTo](https://alternativeto.net/software/acreom/about/) > The way developers get things done acreom is the integrated markdown knowledge base with tasks. Your personal daily driver for your dev workflow. # Notability It is [[Obsidian Editor]] for developers. Or at least that's the idea. This is another [[Electron.js]] app. It's pretty nice looking. # Philosophy To me, it seems like despite the Markdown/Obsidian vibes, I think it is more a direct response to Confluence and Jira. $81/yr for "pro" and $96/yr per seat for teams (as of [[2023-12-29]]). It seems that the team tier is the one they are really building for. Their marketing is all geared towards developers, but like, in a corporate kind of way. They claim that they intend to open source it. I don't believe them. There are a few dark patterns on first launch to attempt to get you to create an account and/or add features which require payment (without telling you that's what they're doing). # OS Support - Linux - Mac - Windows - Android - iOS - Web # Features It seems to have more built in features than Obsidian, but isn't extensible. It does have publishing capability and uses UUIDs for pages by default - as evidenced by their own documentation pages. There is a vaguely defined "assistant" which is said to be a local-only "machine learning model". But what it does and how it works is not explained in the [docs](https://acreom.com/docs/1f2e48bf-51fc-4441-845d-1d6edadc7613). # References
