Toshiba FlashAir is an SD Card with a build in WiFi chips and webserver.
# Notability
An absolutely incredible little piece of technology that does so much.
I own one of these devices. Originally for use with the [[Synthstrom Deluge]] community software called [[Downrush - Online Deluge Editor|Downrush]] for managing Deluge configurations on the card remotely.
# OS Support
The firmware updater, configuration tool, and FlashAir Drive functionality are supported on the following operating systems, but the SD card and WiFi etc work everywhere.
- [[MacOS]]
- [[Windows]]
# Features
- Stores data like any other SD card
- Has a WiFi capable device built in
- Can act as a WiFi bridge
- Has a built in webserver which can run complex web applications in Javascript which can modify files on the card
- (need to research how it does this)
- Powered entirely off the SD card slot
# Issues
The FlashAir line was discontinued and the branch of Toshiba that owned the technology merged with Kioxia. The support articles and documentation are scattered around, but many details are no longer available from official sources in english.
The Downrush software that ran on the card was also discontinued.
