# General Categories **Strike Craft** > **Strike Craft** is a loosely used term in the [Homeworld universe](https://homeworld.fandom.com/wiki/Homeworld_universe "Homeworld universe") to describe ships that depend on larger ships (particularly [carriers](https://homeworld.fandom.com/wiki/Carrier "Carrier"), [shipyards](https://homeworld.fandom.com/wiki/Shipyard "Shipyard"), or [motherships](https://homeworld.fandom.com/wiki/Mothership "Mothership")) for support and depend on speed and maneuverability to overwhelm larger opponents. > In most definitions [fighters](https://homeworld.fandom.com/wiki/Fighter "Fighter") and [corvettes](https://homeworld.fandom.com/wiki/Corvette "Corvette") are the two types of vessels listed primarily as strike craft. Strike craft generally have little armor and these ships generally were much less powerful than larger ships but had very good maneuverability and speed, making them vulnerable in front-on attacks but highly effective in harassment or swarm tactics. All fighters and corvettes. **Capital Ships** > A **Capital Ship** is a spacecraft longer than 100 meters equipped with its own propulsion. > Capital Ships prior to the Homeworld 2 Era were units ranging from 100 to 200 meters, commonly named [Frigates](https://homeworld.fandom.com/wiki/Frigate "Frigate"). **Super Capital Ships** > **Super Capital Ship** is a class of heavy starship including Carriers, Cruisers, Battlecruisers, Dreadnaughts and prior to the [Homeworld 2 Era](https://homeworld.fandom.com/wiki/Homeworld_2_Era "Homeworld 2 Era"), Destroyers. **Motherships** > **Mothership Class** describes the largest units including not only the [Kushan Mothership](https://homeworld.fandom.com/wiki/Kushan_Mothership "Kushan Mothership") and [Progenitor Mothership](https://homeworld.fandom.com/wiki/Progenitor_Mothership "Progenitor Mothership"), but also the sizeable Shipyard This includes the classic Kushan Mothership "banana", Kadeshi "needleship" (which looks like the Space Needle), and Vagr Flagship. Often mixed in with the **Super Capital Ship** category for some reason. # Homeworld ## Kushan & Taiidan - Fighters - Scout - Interceptor - Attack Bomber - Defender - Cloaked Fighter (Kushan) - Defense Fighter (Taiidan) - Corvettes - Light Corvette - Heavy Corvette - Salvage Corvette - Repair Corvette - Multi-Gun Corvette - Minelayer Corvette - Frigates - Assault Frigate - Support Frigate - Ion Cannon Frigate - Drone Frigate (Kushan) - Field Frigate (Taiidan) - Super Capital Ships - Destroyer - Missile Destroyer - Carrier - Heavy Cruiser - Non-Combat Ships - Resource Collector - Resource Controller - Probe - Research Ship - Gravity Generator - Cloak Generator - Sensors Array - Ambassador Corvette ## Turanic Raiders - Fighters - Interceptor - Corvettes - Standard Corvette - Missile Corvette - Frigate - Ion Array Frigate - Super Capital Ships - Attack Carrier ## Kadeshi - Fighter - Swarmer - Advanced Swarmer - Frigate - Multi-Beam Frigate - Fuel Pod ## Bentusi - Exchange - Cargo Barge # Homeworld 2 ## Hiigaran - Fighters - Scout - Interceptor - Bomber - Corvettes - Gunship - Pulsar Gunship - Minelayer Corvette - Mover - Frigates - Flak Frigate - Torpedo Frigate - Ion Cannon Frigate - Marine Frigate - Defense Field Frigate - Super Capital Ships - Destroyer - Carrier - Battlecruiser - Shipyard - Progenitor Dreadnaught - Non-Combat - Resource Collector - Mobile Refinery - Probe - Proximity Sensor Probe - Sensor Distortion Probe ## Vaygr - Fighters - Scout - Assault Craft - Bomber - Lance Fighter - Corvette - Laser Corvette - Missile Corvette - Minelayer Corvette - Command Corvette - Frigates - Assault Frigate - Infiltrator Frigate - Heavy Missile Frigate - Super Capital Ships - Destroyer - Carrier - Battlecruiser - Shipyard - Flagship - Platforms - Gun Platform - Heavy Missile Platform - Hyperspace Gate - Non-Combat - *same as Hiigaran* # Homeworld 3 # Deserts of Kharak Vehicles https://homeworld.fandom.com/wiki/Strike_Fighter_(Coalition) ## Coalition - Basic - Salvager - Light Attack Vehicle - Baserunner ## Gaalsien
