# Intro
The Dark Tarot is a way to predict roadblocks, and is often included with an Abaian Tarot deck in order to read a life situation in a more balanced way.
Some have even done readings from *only* the Dark Tarot deck, which can be a way to sus out a particularly hairy problem.
Sometimes, however, these people either have an unhealthy obsession with the dark gods or have deeper and more disturbing connections with these gods themselves, so it's important to approach the Dark Tarot with some caution. These dark readers will have other interpretations for each card than the ones listed below.
# Motic
[[Mot]], The Corrupt One: Be honest about your dark side, your failings, the ways in which you let your temptations control you. Are you keeping this in check? Are you lying to yourself about your dark side? How well do you know your dark side? Are you confronting it? How can you confront it and keep it in check better?
[[Ngyer-ein]], Right Hand of Mot: Are you enabling the dark tendencies of anyone around you? Even if you're not the main perpetrator, complacency in the face of evil is still bad. Are you letting bad things happen without standing up to stop them? How can you be more brave in the face of evil?
[[Qzoth]], God of War: In what ways do you choose violence and war in your own life? In what ways do you contribute to needless division and war in the world around you? How can you sow more peace in your own life and in others' lives?
[[Sveh]], Mot's Eyes: Are you being honest about the darkness and evil you see in yourself and the world around you? Do you justify it, explain it away for your own comfort or the comfort of those around you? How can you better identify darkness and evil so that you can understand and banish it?
[[Txazuk]], God of Tricks: How honest and sincere are your interactions with the people around you? Do you trick others often? Do you manipulate others? Do you cloak yourself in layers of irony, distance yourself from difficult emotions, or run away from yourself and your inner world? How can you be more up-front and honest with yourself and the people around you?
[[Uulith-btha]], Goddex of Greed: In what ways does your greed control you? Your impulses and appetites can be good and useful, but are they taking the right place in your life, or are they starting to consume your time and your energy? How can you better harness your appetites?
[[Xotl]], God of Madness: In what ways have you deluded yourself? Inspect your beliefs: is there anything that you hold tight to that is maybe a comfort belief but is actually wrong? How are the things you believe affecting the people around you? How can you inspect your beliefs so that you can ensure that you believe what is true?
[[Zvithwa]], Goddess of Chaos: How do you contribute to needless chaos in the world around you? A certain amount of messiness is normal, but sometimes chaos is damaging. Are you part of that damage? How is chaos affecting your personal life? How can you order your own life better?
# Elder
[[Kolgag]], God of Nightmares: What haunts you? What negative emotions and traumas control your narrative? Dig into these emotions and traumas. How can you understand them and fold them back into your own, self-made narrative? How can you harness your nightmares to assist others, alleviate their pains, and create catharsis in their lives?
[[Nythyn]], The Defiler: How are you active or complicit in destroying or distorting pure and good things? Are you cynical and unable to see the hope and good in the world? How does this affect your worldview and how you interact with others? How can you create and protect the good things around you?
[[Sytex]], God of the Void: Do you believe in the meaningfulness of life? Do you create meaning in the world around you? Do not give into meaninglessness and hopelessness. Create hope and find it in the world around you!
# G'nologic
[[G'nolog]], God of Destruction: How are you destructive? Are you self-destructive, and if so, how? Do you hurt those around you or destroy good things that you see in the world? Why do you do that, and how can you heal yourself so that you can start to build?
[[Ctholath]], The Terrible: Are your relationships and communities constructive, or are you engaged in helping the people around you tear others down and destroy good things? How can you make your communities and relationships healthier?
[[Grob-goxol]], The Ravager: What traumas do you have sleeping within you that may awaken if you're put in the wrong situation? Is there anything in your past that you are too afraid to even think of? Try to expose yourself to it slowly, and try to understand your feelings about the trauma. Talk to others about it if you need to in order to get some perspective.
[[Tk'ggnotha]], The Devourer: What proclivities or appetites do you have within you that, while small, could become more powerful if you were thrown into a dark situation? How can you understand and keep harnessed these appetites? How can you stop yourself from feeding them too much, making sure that they don't grow beyond your control?
# Other
[[Kthal]], God of Lies: How do you lie to yourself? How do you create untrue justifications for how you react to bad things that happen to you? How can you uncover and clean out lies that you've told yourself for a long time? How do you lie to others, and how can you come clean to them?
[[Nomonon]], Goddess of Pain: What pain do you refuse to acknowledge? How do you cover that pain up? How can you begin to uncover, confront, and clean that pain? Be upfront with yourself about your own pain: identify it, understand it, and come to terms with it. How can you use your pain to help others through theirs?
[[Zythix]], God of the Condemned: What heinous evil do you see in the world around you? What does that evil say about people in general? How can you be a bulwark to prevent that kind of evil from spreading and strengthening? How can you fight against that evil so that it never gets power to begin with? How can you become more educated and educate others about that evil so that you can eradicate it? Don't feel hopeless against the world's evils; they can be overcome as long as good people fight tirelessly to destroy them.
