[[Game]] I really like the aesthetics and gameplay of the 1997 Blade Runner game, developed by Westwood studios. The game is an atmospheric, story-driven point and click adventure. The whole genre should be reinvented, but that would require incredible creativity beyond just storytelling and visuals, a new insight into pacing and gameplay mechanics. The main design problem would be designing an engaging, captivating non-action oriented experience. These adventure games have always had a specific, patient audience. How would one go about creating an adventure game for the 2020s? It's an interesting problem. Games like Life is Strange and Tell Me Why have attempted something similar, but they are more like young adult social dramas, while some of the p&c adventures have had this air of intellectualism and smart fun about them. Here are some beautiful screenshots from the game: ![[bladeRunner01.png]] ![[bladeRunner02.png]] ![[bladeRunner03.png]] ![[bladeRunner04.png]]
