# High Elf
High Elves are a long-lived [[Race of Elf]] rooted in the [[(elf placeholder) Mountains]] and western portion of the [[Great Forest]]. They are innately weak to iron, but are resistance to all form of magics. To outsiders they might appear serene, timeless, perhaps a little arrogant at times, but orderly; however, beneath the surface lies a fiercely structured society, where one’s worth is weighed in bloodline, prowess, and legacy. High elves live not as individuals, but as extensions of their houses and clans.
High Elven society is extremely rigid, only one family, either a house or clan will ever be in control of all of High Elven land. But beneath that, the other houses are constantly striving to control more and more from each other. On the outside, their [[High Accord]] might look unified, but on the inside, due to warfare and inheritance, it is as fractured as can be.
A High Elven house or clan is strangely communal in its inner workings. Though guided by an elder and a council of senior members, every individual is expected to contribute—whether through the cultivation of magic, mastery of bladework, or being stationed as a soldier.
Decisions are rarely made alone, and consensus is not sought just out of traditions but as a reflection of a house’s unity, history, and standing. In this way, the strength of a High Elven house lies not in its head, but in its whole.
### Lifespan and Appearance
High Elves mature at around the age of 20, and live on average to around 300 years old without magical intervention. They have fair, golden skin, though rare, some have scales along their neck and sides or antlers on their head. Their bodies are lean and have slender fingers. Standing a bit taller than most other races, around 6 to 6 and a half feet tall, with sharp and leaf-like ears that point up to the apex of their heads. They have hair in many different shades of blonde and some have serpentine-like eyes.
#### High Elven Gods and Worship
Parentheses are placeholders
High Elves revere the (Cardinals) and the (Guardians): (spring), (summer), [[Anima(god)|Anima]], and [[Oros(god)|Oros]]. They are the aspects of the [[4 Pillars]] in Elven culture. Unlike the [[Race of Man|race of Man]] who sees them as dormant, High Elves believes that they are still active in ways mortals cannot perceive. To them, the pillars in the skies are simply the planes they resides in instead of their actual form.
The appearance of the (Cardinals) are depicted in their [[Holy Calendar]] created to start the era of record history, the [[First Era]]. (Spring) is a lady with antlers and flowing pink hair in a green dress. (Summer) is a man that is faceless with only eyes, hair cut short beside for a thin ponytail and covered in black mist. Anima is a man-woman, genderless with golden hair that paints the leaves red when autumn comes. Oros is female dressed in white and blue with a black coat, a sword in each hand one longer than the other that is positioned skyward with the shorter one toward her lower left.
###### Divine Heartbeat
The concept of a [[Dragon Hour]] is something impossible to explain by human means, but in a sense that we can understand, it is innately tied to the Oros, and is like the heartbeat of the world, pulsing every 60 years.
High Elves worship the (cardinals) and the (guardians), and praying to any other gods is seen as extremely heretical. Their life spans have been tied to the Dragon Hour, being 5 times at 300 years, and their entire sense of legitimacy and superiority stems from it. Elves out of sync with the Dragon Hour (like the [[Dark Elf|Dark Elves]]) are seen as lesser for that reason alone.
