# Anima(magic)
Anima is the fundamental before all [[magic|magics]], it is said to be first truly harnessed by the [[Race of Elf|Elves]] in the [[Old Era]] who formulated it first into the [[Magic#The 5 arts of magic includes|4 arts]] (4 arts since [[Spellweaving]] has not been branched off from [[Spellcasting]] yet). It is named after their God of Autumn and Magic, [[Anima(god)|Anima]].
Anima exists everywhere, in the air, inside objects, and living creatures. Though density of it differs. Anima inside objects form the Trinity, used for [[Alchemy]] as ingredients and Spellcasting as material. Anima inside living creatures forms the [[soul]], or ego.
Anima has 2 ways to be absorbed into the body, either through the casting of spells, or passive exposure to area with high density anima. Each body has different level of tolerance to anima, and when exceeded could lead to [[anima poisoning]]. However, through constant exposure and practice of magical arts, the tolerance can be increased.
