# Key Summary
The party ventures into the bustling commerce district surrounding the Sanctorum Institute of Vault Sciences to resupply before investigating Quinn Dovetail's mysterious offer. At [[Mirin's Verdant Remedies]], they meet the soft-spoken proprietor and encounter [[Bastion]] - a scarred elf monk from the [[Tavistock Monastery]] who becomes intertwined with the group through existing connections to V and Frankie's mentor [[Edmund Laurent]].
The group learns from [[The Revelry]] newspaper that officials are denying rumors about the bloodless body they discovered, with a second patrol from [[Sanctorum Institute of Vault Sciences]] mysteriously present at the scene. [[Mirin]] cryptically warns them that "not everyone is what they seem" and to "be careful who you tell things and who you ask things," clearly nervous about the escalating situation in the city.
The shopping expedition takes a delightfully chaotic turn at [[Bright Bands Bonds Bonanza]], where the eccentric Captain Roan (a self-appointed captain with Bumi energy) insists on hugging a spatula and hits V with it when V insults his beloved kitchen implement. V acquires a bone dagger that immediately inscribes itself with his initial and gives off distinctly cursed vibes, along with a secondhand sword of questionable provenance.
The session concludes with hints of [[Nel's Quiet Cabinet]] - "[[Nel Twoquills]]," a woman kicked out of the Sanctorum library for obsessive curiosity, whose shop bears the ominous sign: "Sacrifice what You Are for What You Can Become."

# Full In-Session Notes
Quinn Dovetail, Sanctorum Institute of Vault Sciences
- The Revelry is the name of the paper: Its announcing the death of the man that Mania and the group found murdered by [[Vernetta Dellacott]]
- First storefront is a green lop-sided Mirin's Verdant Remedies, Potions, Bombs and Concoctions
- Down the street Nel's Quiet Cabinet, black skinny building that might have a connection to the black market, something a little rare
- The Clinking Cog: Tinkering supplies, small gadgets, clockwork kits
- Bright Bands Bonds Bonanza, weapons
- Luck's + Ledger: Scribe tomes, papers,
Mirin is a soft-spoken woman with braids, smells like thyme, green eyes. Inside the shop there are shelves stacked with moving alive bottles, like lava lamps. "Ask about out new tincture, Dream Sight?"
There's someone unloading crates of root, Bastion is there.
Bastion is an elf, scars on his neck, one on his left cheek. Firey red long hair. Mostly in a braid wrapped around his neck. He's wearing a robe and three quarter robes. Earthy gold colors. 5'5" feet tall, lean and toned like a swimmer. Carries a quarterstaff with him.
Frankie and Bastion and the others meet in the potion store, introduce
2 Healer's Kit: Bandages salves and splints, ten uses, use an
Potions of Healing: 50 gold, (6) Potions of Greater Healing: 150g (2)
Frankie and V pay for the potions, and Mania asks Mirin about the news, Mirin says that the Revelry is talking about a body that was found, Mirin is shocked. The identity of the person is still unknown: "Bloodless Body Found: Forge Knights Deny Rumors" Lysa Claremont, Senior Correspondent was the writer. Officials from the Forge Knights say there's nothing beyond the murder going on, they're not talking about the bloodlessness of the body. The Revelry has confirmed that a second patrol, from Vault Sciences, was at the scene. But they didn't want to say why.
Mania and Bastion see Mirin stuff some sugar into her mouth, looks out the window, looks at Frankie and V, and then at the street. She's super nervous. Mania pretends that she's nervous too and asks for Mirin's advice. Mirin tells Mania that not everyone is what they seem. Be careful who you tell things and who you ask things.
We go outside and buy the paper. There is a "Crime Blotter" section, beneath the centerfold, a new crime section. Break in at the Red's Bottle Factory ("case closed standard vacancy reset, inquire about lodging"). There's also a weather column, says that there will are winds from the north that have more iron than usual, classifieds, someone seeking tailor looking for fancy embroidery, new ginger wonders (the cigarette).
- Nel's Quiet Cabinet has the Ginger Wonders in addition to the potential connections to the black market
We head to the Bonanza and its an open warehouse type place that's like a garage, the shop owner is like an older guy, a Bumi-esque dude with a Captain pin (from the Forge Knights), but it looks handmade, like he appointed himself captain. He comes out, puts goggles on his head and stokes a fire. "Don't be shyyyyyy"
This dude is absolutely delightful and fully eccentric in the best way. He's like Ollivander mixed with Bumi, he brings out a spatula. "What I would give to own this" and Mania says "You do. You know that right."
He hits V with the spatula when V insults the spatula. Captain Roan is a nutter. V ignores him and sticks his hand into the wares, hoping to pull out the perfect sword.
- V pulls out a slightly damaged copper dagger, its shadow is way too long for the blade. He puts his hand back in the pile several times after discarding the dagger, eventually he gets a dagger of bone, which immediately gets "V" appear in the bone
Roan is still hugging the spatula. "That's yours now, you have to pay for it."
- V asks for a sword and he finds a few options ("the woman I got that from left it outside the bar two summers ago")
- V takes the sword and the dagger and we leave the Bonanza
- The dagger feels not great, dagger vibes lean towards curse
Bastion pulls V aside to tell him that he's going to look at the area where the body was found. And V tells him that the group has already been to where the body was. They get in a conversation about whether V's been taking care of his piercings, and his infected ears. And whether or not Mania is trustworthy.
Nel is nicknamed Twoquills kicked out of Sanctorum library but was kicked out for her obsessive curiosity, walks on eggshells around new people. Everything comes with a blanket disclaimer, pre-my time. Nel's shop is kind of a tent. There's a sign in front of the curtains that says "Sacrifice what You Are for What You Can Become".
