It was established in 1859 by Nathan R. Usher and William Thrall, and it closed its doors in 1864. During the mid-nineteenth century, [Monroe, Green County, Wisconsin, USA](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monroe,_Green_County,_Wisconsin) had two banks. One was N. R. Usher & Co. also known as **Usher & Thrall**. It was located on the corner of Main and Albany Streets in Monroe and was a member of the [Wisconsin Bankers' Association](https://www.wisbank.com).
