A powerful fundamental force derived from [[Creation]], all practitioners and indeed most people know that [[Magic]] can reshape reality. A list of strange phenomena with their explanation and expanded definitions will be kept here, for easy reference. There is no common naming convention for these strange leftovers from [[The Revealing]], with each people giving them their own names. For the sake of ease of reference, the most common name will be given for each anomaly with other names listed before the definitions. ##### Khiirdu Also known as *nina'al* among the [[Elves]], *khaerz-ta'al* to the [[Dwarves]], and *hexlands* among [[Humans]]. Their most common name derives from the tongue of the [[Orcs]]. Most famous and well known in the lands of [[Ash Kordh]], khiirdu are best described as places where the weave of Creation is tangled and knotted. The consequence of this strange nature is a place where space and time do not seem to match what one would expect gazing into the khiirdu from the outside: valleys that should take a day to cross requiring weeks to navigate, roads that stretch for miles spanned in single strides, or even places where an afternoon can pass within while a century goes by outside or vice versa. All manner of strange phenomena have been observed within khiirdu, which usually serves to warn one that they are stepping in one: rivers flowing back on themselves or even uphill, strange and twisted wildlife, trees that grow in strange directions, and raw magic that confuses the senses. Usually it requires a great deal of luck or natural inclination for magic to navigate out of them, as it is virtually impossible not to lose one's way. While most common in Ash Kordh, khiirdu have been observed all over the world both above and beneath the surface, though far more commonly in [[The Eastern Lands]] than [[The Imperium]]. ##### Relics While remnants of [[Sorcery]] of true power are difficult to find in the world, even in [[The Western Lands]], it is not uncommon to come across stories of magical relics or encounter them oneself. They are not always objects in the strictest sense, as sometimes places have incredible power. The focus here will largely be on objects or even classes of objects, however, as locations of a magical nature should appear on the pages for the various kingdoms or realms they appear within. Whether considered holy relics or sometimes items of a darker purpose, these anomalies have left their mark indelibly upon the world. - [[The Elentári’s Sepulcher]] - [[The Jar of Nefr]] - [[Nessa's Lament]] - [[The Phylactery of Misek]] - [[The Sunlit Throne]] - [[The Sword of Mór]]
