From the liner notes: > A psychotropic broadcast via Tesla’s wireless. The title is based on the fact that [Shostakovich](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dmitri_Shostakovich) composed music he claimed to hear in his head, receiving it like a radio broadcast. He had splinters of shrapnel lodged in his head from the First World War, which he believed were responsible for this transmission.[^ShostShrapnel] [^1] ## Lyrics ## Versions ## Personnel |Name|Credit| |---|---| ||| ||| ## References [ShostShrapnel]: *Shostakovich’s shrapnel injury is a commonly told but unproven story that is likely apocryphal; c.f. <https://www.nytimes.com/1983/07/10/arts/music-view-did-shostakovich-have-a-secret.html*> [^1]: <https://i.discogs.com/xY7gCN4CHCQ5ghRidGo5BA066OeSz7zNLX65ix48q4k/rs:fit/g:sm/q:90/h:600/w:600/czM6Ly9kaXNjb2dz/LWRhdGFiYXNlLWlt/YWdlcy9SLTE5NDE4/MS0xNDM5NzI1NDE3/LTkwNjUucG5n.jpeg>
