Though it grants unique properties and a distinct appearance to its carriers—known as [[Candyfolk]]—it also harbors a darker threat: the potential to mutate its hosts, eventually leading to a painful demise. ## Origins & Spread First documented around 170BM, the virus appeared shortly after [[Gourmet Poppu]] rose to power in the [[Roripop Kingdom]]. No record exists of the virus before this date, and many believe its origin is either unnatural or a blessing sent from [[WORLD 6410 (Kuizine)/30 Notable Figures/32 Deceased/Gourmet Poppu|Gourmet]] herself. The fact that it has never been observed outside of [[Roripop Kingdom|Roripop]] has only deepened the mystery. The Candy Virus behaves differently depending on the target: - In the environment, it causes cosmetic changes—buildings take on gumdrop hues, stones shimmer like sugar glass, and flowers bloom in unnatural palettes. These are aesthetic illusions; the objects are not truly edible. - In living hosts, the virus alters cellular structures, gradually shifting their appearance, physiology, and even scent.
