- [x] Why did my network turn off right after I upgraded my internet speed? ✅ 2024-01-19
- was it due to some backend service shut down and restart process?
- the internet came back on but it was because I manually restarted the backend services using my phone's 5g network, not the network i was using when i paid to upgrade my plan
- you would think something like that shouldnt happen or at least warn the customer that an outage might occur and how to resolve it

# What Did I Learn Today? (W.D.L.T.)

- I was worried I wouldn't be able to give any advice or knowledgeable input to our BRP day today
- because historically I didnt have fundamental [[self-esteem]] to believe my inputs would have low value to a team discussion
- i did begin to outgrow this mentality when I "*realized my potential*" back in 2022 when I made outstanding **personal** [[accomplishments]]
- the type of accomplishments that mostly just matter to yourself
- like being brave enough and committing to writing and performing a eulogy for my [[dad]] (Sept 2022)
- or putting [[Steven Leighton|myself]] "*out there*" in the dating hemisphere for the first time in over a year since meeting [[Rachel Ray|Rachel]]
- occurred mostly after I got back to Cinci after flying back from Maine in Sept 2022
- or grinding [[disc golf]] athleticism and ability to perform incredibly skillful (with added luck) to achieve top level performance in 2 separate brackets of tournaments
- or welcoming friends into your living quarters for an extended amount of time
- and actually enjoy and be comfortable with it!
- or defining myself in my professional work team as a "*subject matter expert*" in a way that i only knew and created things

- unfortunately... **accomplishments aren't what really matter**
- [[accomplishments]] are [[outcomes]]
- [[outcomes]] come from your [[habit]] [[system]] (See [[Atomic Habits]] #books/atomichabits)
- [[habits]] are the same [[actions]] repeated over some set amount of [[Time]]
- [[actions]] are performed due to our immediate surroundings and contextual environment ([[external]] state) paired with our immediate mental stimuli and ability to perform [[cognitive]] tasks ([[internal]] state)
- certain [[external]] factors can be in your control, but not all of it
- certain [[internal]] factors can also be in your control, but also not all of it (i.e. genetics)
- both states are influenced heavily by your [[belief]] [[system]]
- [[beliefs]] are part of your [[Core]]
- thus your [[Core]] can influence your [[accomplishments]]
- however, that can only be recognized by navigating your [[Mind Map]] and understand yourself enough to influence the [[external]] factors that appear to be in your control
- now I am able to understand [[myself]] and judge my ability to perform things, and realizing when I can't
- [[self-esteem]] isnt about literally accomplishing things, it's about believing **you** **can** accomplish them
- low [[self-esteem]] leads to [[Anxiety|anxiety]] and [[depression]], which are states of feeling overwhelmed with unknowns about [[external]] and [[internal]] information #psychology #insights
- but given my higher [[self-esteem]], I was able to provide insightful, logical, and respectful perspectives and opinions are the subjects at hand
- the ability to [[belief]] your word is worth something
- the [[belief]] that you do have [[meaning]] in this world and to those around you
