![[S02E14.1.png]] **Recorded:** 2096-11-22 **Captain's Log** - Recorded by: [[Kana Enemoto|ID_GREAT_SAGE]] Considering the planned day of attack is next Monday, we decided that it would be best for the last week to see what we can do about getting information on what we might end up facing. Thankfully, two of us were able to get some good information over the course of the week. [[Deep Blue | Big Bro]] reached out to me, letting me know about a prison with [[Omnitech]] defectors in it. He got this information from a man named [[Dr. Dennis Norton]] and his [[Rachael Norton | daughter]], however he is unaware of where they were at the time. Norton was an Omnitech researcher, and in the brief contact he had with Big Bro he explained that they were trying to weaponize the [[Spotlight Crisis]] in a more controlled manner. Back at this shit again it seems. [[Fergus McPherson | Fergus]] also had an interesting bit of information from [[Alba Liberation Front | ALF]] claiming that they had captured some Omnitech and were having difficulty getting information out of them. We decided to go there first. Interrogation is not too hard when you have [[Sherlock Holmes | a human lie detector]], and are able to read people's minds. With some poking, prodding, and a bit of threats, we were able to learn that there is a secret lab located in Enfield. We were also able to learn that the prison Norton was being held in was underneath Heathrow airport. We decided to go to the prison next. It formerly belonged to the [[Mega-London]] police force, so with a bit of digging we were able to get the general layout. It was only meant for extreme prisoners, so we were expecting it to be fairly well guarded. This was not really the case. First we went to the [[World Digital Sea]] connection box where the hard line for the prison was connected. After having a rat chew through the cable, alarms started to go off under ground in the distance. Clearly they knew something was going to happen, but they couldn't send anything out now. As we walked into the prison area we found a single, heavily armed guard. He did do a fair number on some of us due to the sheer amount of large area attacks he used, but with a bit of negotiation from [[Puk Charr | Puk]], [[Grit Stuk | Grit]] and [[Pixie]] we were able to make them stop breathing. As we opened the door to the main room, we found two men who were instantly scared shitless when they saw their [[Omega Commando|mall cop]] lying dead. Grit held them up in the corner as I went through the terminal for the list of prisoners. Pretty quickly I found a cell labeled "Norton" so I jumped out of my wheelchair and headed over to it. Opening the door I found a single girl inside, fairly beaten up and scarred. She was very confused that I was letting her out, so I took a moment to explain that we aren't a part of any mega-corp and were here to let her out. She explained that they had killed her father, and that she wanted to come with us (at least in the airbus) to the lab. Her name was Keres Norton. As we came to the two people we were still holding hostage, it seemed that she really didn't like one, so I told Grit to kill them. When the other one lunged at him for that, they were shot dead in their tracks. It was at this point I released everyone in the prison, took what information I could (not much) and got into the air bus to head out to Enfield. Keres explained that there is a secret back entrance to the lab that is basically never locked as it was constantly receiving shipments. She also let us know to look out for a lady named [[Fala Cox]] who was in charge of the project. What an unfortunate name. Taking Fala was super easy. We walked in the back door, killed a man before he could even see us, took his had to open the door with a biometric sensor, then spent a couple seconds knocking out Fala. Pixie was really able to knock her out good, which made the whole thing a real breeze. I pulled as much information as I could from the machines in the room while the remaining scientists were killed. A lot of it was encrypted, so I knew we would need to get some form of key. Sherlock and I explored the lab, finding that the people were experimenting on human tissue. It also became clear that the giant glowing orb powered by a laser seemed to be capable of destroying living tissue. We turned everything off then left. As we got to the airbus, Puk scanned the people we were taking back to make sure that they were not fake like we have had before. It was at this point that Keres just fucking vanished, which was confusing as hell. We'll get back to that later though. Back on [[The Evidence Locker]] we tried to interrogate Fala, but we were not able to get anywhere with her. She was clearly a very broken and horrible person, so we figured the best thing to do was just kill her and use Sherlock's nanites to get the information we needed. There was so much I could think of to do to that bitch, but I'm not letting [[Unfortunate Conflict of Evidence | the group]] see that side yet. To summarize the questioning and information we stole quickly, I will go over the key points. - The project was called "[[Sigmatech High-Energy Replicative Organic-Disassembler (SHEROD)|Demon Core]]". - It was part of the Sigma Tech division of Omnitech. - They make nanite tech. - They were responsible for the special daemons we now have. - Fala called it a "Controlled Grey Goo Explosive". - By aiming a laser at it, it would be activated. - This causes it to slowly expand and kill only human tissue. - The orders were given by the Omnitech board of directors. - Their names are fairly secret, but with enough work [[HACKERMAN]] can probably get it. - Many of them likely live in [[Neo-London]]. - Omnitech is planning on fully wiping out [[Dark London]]. - The nanites in Demon Core can go through sealed armour. - She killed both the Nortons a couple days ago. - The thing Fala doesn't want most is to be an organ donor. - Bitch is one now. The last thing I got from Fala was the encryption key to all of the information I had taken. I went through and found much of what she had already told us, just with a lot more detail. The most important thing I found was that Dr. Norton's daughter's name was Rachael, not Keres. It was at this point I also noticed a message that had been left in my inbox. It wasn't like it was sent to me, but it was put in there from the internal network somehow. I checked every log and made sure HACKERMAN didn't see anything happen, which he didn't. The message was from someone named "Hunter 42", who said they were pleased to meet me today and that I was not what they were expecting. They claim that they will kill me and the rest of [[The Agency]], but are in no rush and will let me "deal with our creators first". Clearly, this entity knows that I am [[Enhanced Neural Extension (E.N.E.) | E.N.E.]], and are likely another project made by Omnitech. Perhaps they were made for the sole purpose of tracking me down, which wouldn't be surprising. Whatever the case is, I let Big Bro know everything that happened today and went on to worry about next week's plans.
