Sigmatech High-Energy Replicative Organic-Disassembler is an experimental weapon developed by Omnitech for wiping out the population of a city without harming any structures. The technology is based on a controlled form of the reactions which caused the [[Spotlight Crisis]] and the [[Mars Colony Catastrophe]]. A sample of specially programmed bootstrap Sigma-nanites is subjected to a high-energy source, such as a ultra-high energy laser beam. After this the nanites begin to replicate and spread in all directions passing through ordinary matter as though it were not there. The nanites are programmed to disassemble organic tissue, causing almost instant death for any creatures caught in the advancing wave. When the high-energy source is removed the bootstrap nanites disassemble themselves and the rest of the swarm, leaving behind no trace of their existence.
