Poison can be harvested from animals, plants, or they can be synthesized chemicals. If a poison is applied to a weapon, such weapon attacks become deadlier, and corporate espionage often involves poisoned food or drinks. Given their insidious and deadly nature, poisons are illegal in most societies, and range from monitored to banned depending on how toxic they are. ##### Poisons Table Poison|Cost|Type|Effect Summary -|-|-|- [[Anesthetic]]|シ1,000|Ingested, Inhaled, Injury|DC 10/15 Con save, poisoned and unconscious [[Botulinum]]|シ6,000|All|DC 16 Con save, poisoned/paralyzed/possible death [[Cyanide]]|シ50|Ingested, Inhaled|DC 16 Con save, 4d6 poison damage and poisoned [[Genefunk Reference/Goods and Services/Poisons/Grey Goo\|Grey Goo]]|シ20,000|All|DC 19 Con save, 12d6 poison damage, ½ damage on success [[Heavy Metal]]|シ50|Ingested|DC 16 Con save, 1d12 poison damage and poisoned, repeat each day [[Hemovenom]]|シ1,000|Injury|DC 11 Con save, 3d6 poison damage failed save, and poisoned [[Necrovenom]]|シ2,000|Injury|DC 11 Con save, 6d6 poison damage, ½ damage on success [[Neurovenom]]|シ1,000|Injury|DC 13 Con save, poisoned, if fail by 5 or more, unconscious [[Paralytic]]|シ1,000|Injury|DC 13 Con save, poisoned + paralyzed [[Ricin]]|シ100|Ingested, Inhaled|DC 17 Con save, 3d6 poison damage and poisoned, repeat each day [[Nerve Agent]]|シ5,000|Ingested, Inhaled|DC 18 Con save, poisoned/paralyzed/unconscious/death [[Genefunk Reference/Goods and Services/Poisons/Wendigo\|Wendigo]]|シ10,000|All|DC 17 Con save, 9d6 poison damage, ½ damage on success ## Poison Types - **Contact.** Contact poison can be smeared on an object and remains potent until it is touched or washed off. A person that touches contact poison with exposed skin suffers its effects. - **Ingested.** A person must swallow an entire dose of ingested poison to suffer its effects. The dose can be delivered in food or a liquid. You may decide that a partial dose has a reduced effect, such as allowing advantage on the saving throw or dealing only half damage on a failed save. Multiple doses can be added to a drink or food, and each extra dose applies the effect an additional time. - **Inhaled.** These poisons are powders or gases that take effect when inhaled. Blowing the powder or releasing the gas through a grenade affects anyone in a 1-meter cube from the point of detonation. The resulting cloud dissipates immediately afterward. Holding one’s breath is ineffective against inhaled poisons, as they affect nasal membranes, tear ducts, and other parts of the body. Multiple doses can be put in gas grenades, increasing the area affected by 1 cube per dose. - **Injury.** Injury poison can be applied to weapons, hyposprays, syringes, and other objects that deal piercing or slashing damage and remains potent until delivered through a wound or washed off. Someone that takes piercing or slashing damage from an object coated with the poison is exposed to its effects. If a poison is delivered with a hypospray or syringe, it’s save DC becomes +5, and its effect is doubled (duration, damage, penalty, etc.).
