We continued to ask questions about [[The Sentinel Conclaves|the Mollari conclaves]], learning that all of the [[The Sentinel Conclaves|conclaves]] are built around objects like [[The Oracle]]. [[Londo of the Mollari|the Mollari leader]] does not know where they came from and are unsure if [[The Mollari]] brought them to [[The Sentinel Conclaves|the conclaves]] or if they were here from the start. Comparing the wrought iron pedestal [[The Blue White Oracle|the oracle]] is set into with our knowledge of [[The Ghrian Republic|Ghiran]] architecture, it is clear that this setting was not made by them. Not much more that we can gather from the situation unfortunately.
Giving up for now, we talk to [[Londo of the Mollari|the Mollari leader]] about possibly procuring a new weapon for [[Lex]] who has been running around without his preferred pole axe for a considerable amount of time. While the shop owner is obviously missing, [[Londo of the Mollari|the Mollari leader]] believes that it would be perfectly fine to borrow weapons for now, leaving a note that we will pay them back when we find them.
As we arrive at the armoury, [[Owl]] begins to pick the lock as is kind of necessary due to the whole disappearance thing. [[Lex]] takes great issue with this, beginning to get cold feet about the whole thing. He was worried that we were stealing, when we clearly had every intent to pay them back. After a considerable amount of explaining what the plan was and comforting him, [[Lex]] finally allowed us to continue and go into the shop.
The selection of weapons was pretty standard for what we had seen [[The Mollari]] use. The shelves were lined with mostly pikes, leather armour, and some short bows. [[Lex]] was about discouraged at first, but digging around into the corners of the shop he was able to find a beautiful pole axe tucked away underneath some rusting weapons. I decided to grab a short bow and some arrows just in case. [[The Ghrian Republic|the Ghrians]] have some very problematic magic, and I worry that something may affect me and pull out someone else forcefully. [[Hargol Non]] and [[Hana Varley]] would be pretty worse for wear without a bow on [[The Changeling|us]].
While [[Lex]] was messing around with his new poleaxe, [[Owl]] noticed that there was a symbol of [[The Ghrian Republic]] on the bottom, slightly different from the ones that we have seen before. This means a couple important things. First, this pole axe is magical in some way, not rusting for over 1000 years. Second, the difference in symbols indicates that there may have been different factions of [[The Ghrian Republic]], possibly based on regions. Hopefully some of them are less horrible than the ones that we have dealt with, but I doubt it.
The majority of [[The Bastion|the troupe]] stayed in the shop a bit longer to look around while [[Lex]] left to stand outside with [[Ordo]]. When the rest of us left (after leaving some gold), we found [[Lex]] finishing the cast of a spell on all of us. It was immediately clear after the cast that he cast zone of truth on us. I was not affected, however [[Owl]] and [[Reed]] were. [[Reed]] was very unhappy with the lack of trust, storming off to search around the city for possible [[The Ghrian Republic|Ghrian]] ruins. [[Owl]] on the other hand decided to use this forced truth telling to mention her "plans" for later, if you catch my drift. I think she might be a bit mistaken by my dynamic, but I know that [[The Changeling|we]] have something that will work well.
The rest of us spread out to look for potential entrances to [[The Ghrian Republic|Ghrian]] ruins below the city. After a solid couple hours though we were unable to find anything, somewhat shocking considering the sewer systems we have seen them make before in [[The City of Stars]]. [[Owl]] did get a good look out over the area, claiming that we are definitely at the highest point in the area. There is apparently a mountain range to the south but it is so far away that she can't make out any important details about it.
We grouped back up later in the day to consider our plans for the coming time. Before we could do so, [[Lex]] decided that he really wanted to touch [[The Blue White Oracle|the oracle]]. Upon doing so there was a bright flash of light and I suddenly woke up on the ground. According to [[Lex]], everyone got knocked out for a minute, somewhat concerning. After confirming that everyone in [[The First Conclave|the conclave]] experienced this, I contacted [[Owen]] just to make sure that it wasn't a global phenomenon. Thankfully it wasn't and [[Owen]] is doing... Okay. It's hard to have a conversation with 25 words.
After all the chaos we noticed something quite unexpected. The milky white oracle had turned to a blue, the exact same as [[The Blue Oracle|the larger oracle]] that we have been carrying around. Perhaps [[Lex]] touching what I will now call [[The Blue White Oracle]] caused [[The Aether]] I believe to be contained within to rapidly exit, causing the magical surge that knocked us all out. This would mean that the blue versions of the oracles are uncharged, which doesn't make too much sense considering [[The Blue Oracle]] has still had some magical effects.
After that mess we decided to sit down with [[Londo of the Mollari|the Mollari leader]] to discuss our plans for the future. They are really out of ideas for what to do, very concerned with where all the people have gone. We decided that the best plan for moving forward is likely to move to the conclaves further west (and towards the [[Spires|Spire]]) and search for other [[The Mollari|Mollari]]. Hopefully the other [[The Sentinel Conclaves|conclaves]] have not also had their inhabitants vanish.
It was too late tonight to make any more moves however. We setup camp in the middle of the road, a bit away from [[The Mollari]], taking some watches and heading to sleep.
