## Neth 14th, 1124 AR
We decided to keep watches last night. Not much happened, however we can confirm that [[Luca]] is cursed once again. After being taken out of [[Eos]] bag they were placed on a shelf. A few hours later they were found perched over [[Skelly the Skeleton|Skelly]], who was asleep at the time.
There wasn't much to do, at least I thought so. With [[Emma]] and [[Owllen]] gone I felt we should simply wait for something to happen and enjoy the bit of relaxation. Of course the rest of [[Leaves in the Wind|the group]] could not stay still now that we were back in town. They first dug through the house to learn more about the previous owner. It appears that it was previously the chief of the guard's house. After satisfying their curiosity about the house everyone except myself decided to take a look around town. Exactly 8 minutes and 13 seconds after they left [[Eos]] was knocking on my door. "The town doesn't exist in the [[Domir]]!" he shouted, to which I simply cracked open the door and pointed at the piece of glass held in front of my left eye. It took [[Eos]] a second to realize what I meant before nodding and walking away. Did I forget to tell everyone yesterday?
---
You did.
---
Ah.
48 minutes after [[Eos]] left, [[Crescent]] returned with a particularly interesting piece of information. All mirrors in town had been broken. When asking around they were told many different stories for how the mirrors were broken. All of these stories appeared to be accidents, and as such I got the feeling that there is an outside force causing the mirrors to be broken. Interestingly enough however there was a single unbroken mirror in our new house. [[Gobby]] decided to do some testing with it. Within seconds of taking it outside the mirror was broken, a ball flying over after a child's throw went awry. There is absolutely some sort of higher power influencing the world in a way to break mirrors. Given the collection of mirrors at fake [[Owllen]]'s south pole base I believe that mirrors have the potential to turn into [[Domir]]s. This is likely problematic, so a higher power has attempted to stop it from happening by breaking mirrors.
---
I'd like to include the absolute **insanity** that happened after the mirror was broken. The kids who broke it looked worried that [[Gobby]] would be mad. For some reason, they were? [[Gobby]], [[Eos]], and [[Adelfó]] then chased after the kids. A bit later they came back with the kids, and [[Gobby]] tried to make them do a "test of courage". [[Gobby]] walked over the glass, then told the kids to do the same. They ran. What in the ever loving fuck is wrong with them? At least [[Eos]] was also extremely confused.
---
I... I really do not know what to think. On one hand that [[Gobby|goblin]] has an extremely scientific mind, can create complex alchemical items, is capable of positing advanced theories, and even testing them. Yet they frequently go completely insane. Is this the sort of "Mad Genius" that I have heard about?
In any case, after lunch [[Crescent]] asked if we could go and check the chapel outside town. Nobody objected, so off we went. Unfortunately we arrived to find the chapel burnt to the ground, a pile of rubble, charred wood, and ash. The coals were still warm, leading us to believe that this was a recent event. Scanning the area [[Eos]] found some footprints belonging to giants heading towards [[Plimoth|town]]. There were 7 sets of tracks, two of which clearly belonged to giant bears. There were also some tracks that belonged to humanoid creatures larger than average, but smaller than a giant. Ogres I figured.
It was strange that the footprints just ended at the edge of town. Given how close they got however, people in town had to have seen the people who left them. Asking around we learned that there has been a group of stone giants in the area recently. They had an encampment nearby, and had been "harassing" the townsfolk. People were clear that there had been no violence, but it was as though the giants were trying to stop people from leaving the area. The only direction people were able to give us was "west", so off we went. After a mere 22 minutes of walking [[Eos]] was nearly caught in a snare trap which he was able to identify as made by giants. A brief search of the area was all it took to find the giant's encampment. It was empty, so we decided to wait until they came back.
Thankfully we did not have to wait long. The giants, ogres, and giant bears returned 3 minutes later. They were jovial and well dressed, all except the bears of course. Unconcerned [[Eos]] walked straight into the camp and began speaking Jotun to them. Unfortunately it is a language I do not speak and the only bit I caught was [[Eos]]' name. After a bit of discussion a lull formed upon which [[Crescent]] asked [[Eos]] to forward a question. The giant in charge switched to common and introduced himself as "Sargent Dúrnir". He then explained that their group is currently in the midst of a criminal investigation. There was a thieves group that was originally active in the [[United Tribes of Jorndus]] that has recently fled into the [[Chausian Kingdom]]. Nothing better to do we offered to help, upon which they provided us with a large stack of wanted posters. Filtering through it we found two people of note. [[The Professor]] who has been known to be "in the guild's company" and a person who looked suspiciously like [[Eos]]. The wanted poster clearly stated "wood giant", had the name "Norbert", and was slightly younger than [[Eos]]. In conclusion, [[Eos]] has a non-runt younger brother that has fallen to a life of crime.
