![[im love ichiban-20250120175959837.png]] ichiban **yakuza like a dragon** is the coolest character in videogames to the point that i straight up want to model myself as him going forward. yes i'm 30 but that's part of it, most of the media i enjoy skews so young that it's nice to actually have an older role-model to point towards LMFAO. there is an unassailable cheerfulness to him but coupled with the experience that comes with age and it's different from *checks notes* basically every other JRPG in existence and that's awesome. the way he acts isn't based on naivety or cluelessness like a lot of JRPG / Shonen Anime protagonists - it's based on the fact it's cool to be nice to people, actually. and while kiryu is cool and iconic, he's not exactly relatable - dude's a straight up demi-god. ichiban isn't the strongest guy in the world and he knows it, and he shows that it's okay to rely on other people to get through problems. on top of that he's proof that you can be older than 25 and have cool adventures and learn new stuff and make new friends and make a difference. that's easy to forget sometimes when you're a person who's interested in the media that I am. it's very silly, like 30 isn't that old, but the internet loves to act like i'm a dinosaur. you know someone told me i'm too old for discord? *i was there when it was invented*, what the fuck?? anyways: love you ichiban go ichiban go
