## Summary Progressive Summation is about building up a map of the best ideas found in my second brain, built around drilling down information further and further the more important it is to me. For example, this summary is the fourth layer, and exists to summarize the info in my own words, to cement it. Progressive Summarization is usually done over time. ## Progressive Summarization - Captured Notes - Bolded Passages - Highlighted Passages - Executive Summary ### Captured Notes Self-explanatory ### Bolded Passages I doubt I'll do this, but I'll try lol. ### Highlighted Passages This I'll certainly do. ### Executive Passages Where I summarize shit myself at the top of the note. ## Common Mistakes for Note-Takers - Over-Highlighting - Highlighting without Purpose - Highlight / Summarize when you're about to create - Every time you touch a note, make it more discoverable by highlighting, bulleting, or commentating. - I REALLY like this, it gives me permission to build out long-term posts over time with my notes, then synthesizing them when I feel like I'm ready. Def gotta include this.
