I loved **Dodgeball Academia**, so I was always going to check out whatever studio **Pocket Trap** made next. Despite being an entirely different genre and graphical style, **Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo** might be their greatest game yet. It’s also the best **Zelda** game I’ve played in years, lol.
I’m ngl I don’t really have much to say about this game other than that it does exactly what it sets out to do very well. You explore the overworld and dungeons, completing them to get new powers so you can explore even further. The game has a constant drip-feed of new powers and mini-games so you never get bored, and the puzzles are consistently clever without being frustrating. The music is great, with some tracks from guest composer and GOAT, [[Yoko Shimomura]], and I love the fact that it all takes place in a grimy, bustling city. It’s a vastly different aesthetic from other games in the genre that makes **Pipistrello** stand out. Just a pleasant, solid experience from beginning to end that I highly recommend.
