Briefly started this and it's looking pretty cool, I like the delineation between Johnathan and Charolotte as melee and magic focused, respectively, and the music is pretty good. The idea of Dracula coming back thanks to the pure horror of World War II is also metal as fuck and I respect that.

This game is awesome tbh! I find it very well-paced for some reason? Just feels like there's a constant drip of new weapons and armor and abilities in all directions and I'm feeling a nice balance of being locked out of things but still getting to explore thoroughly.
So far I like the paintings! I like they're self-contained little bites of exploration. It makes things less daunting for me. I can check off each painting, more or less, before exploring elsewhere. I also think the teleportation gates are very meticulously-placed - in particular, how each one tends to be next to a painting, which will be nice for backtracking later.
Also really enjoying the duel-character mechanics. I tend to stick to Johnathan, but I like that I have reasons to swap between him and Charolotte for magic enemies, or pulling her out for a quick magic assist. I like that you get a pretty good assist, but switching to her and charging a spell will give more damage.
I recently fought a jar monster that was almost a puzzle between the two, where Johnny attacked the jar to make the slime monster appear out of it. Then I could use Charolotte to cast ice magic on it. It was cool!
So yeah, so far so good! About 2 hours in now.

Finished the Pyramid and Circus paintings, picked up a cog and the ability to push heavier objects. Not sure where to go next so I'm gonna gallivant around Dracula's Castle some more now.
