## 2024-12-22 I'm having a good time but I hate the slide puzzle I just hit so I'm taking juuuust a brief break and then I'm using a walkthrough to get through it. **Dominus Collection** owns, I love just being able to rewind and dodge every hit in a boss fight, I'm not trying to slam myself against a while over and over again trying to learn patterns and shit. Plus the save states are *very* helpful as a replacement for putting it in sleep mode. ## 2024-12-23 The puzzle solution for anyone else that needs it: ### Treasure 1: **12, 10, 5, 8** ### Treasure 2: **2, 11, 3, 13, 15, 3, 13, 15, 3** ### Treasure 3: **3, 10, 5, 8, 12, 3, 10, 13, 4, 5** ### Treasure 4: **2, 11, 3, 10, 12, 2, 10, 12** ### Treasure 5: **12, 10, 5, 8, 10, 5, 3, 12, 5, 3, 8, 10, 3** ### Lost Village Door: **12, 10, 3, 13, 9, 14, 4, 3, 13, 9, 3, 13** ### Progress Just reset the puzzle and go lmfao. Things are moving smoothly once again now. As I explore I now realize how spoiled I am by **The Lost Crown**'s in-game screenshot feature in older Metroidvanias. I can *kinda* emulate it with Steam screenshots but it just isn't as intuitive and helpful. Gold standard for me in any future Metroidvanias I play. --- Made some progress in the evening while hanging out with some friends. Did not realize one of the bosses would be a straight-up Jojo reference so that was cool. Having a pretty great time overall! Very glad for the rewind feature though - I do *not* have time for a whole restart because I bumped into spikes too many times. I'm 30 years old! ## 2024-12-25 I "finished" **Dawn of Sorrow**. By this I mean, I got the fake ending and was extremely confused with how it ended so abruptly. I looked it up and apparently I need to get a soul to go into a mirror to get the true ending, and getting that soul requires 3 other souls, which I just never happened to pick up because of RNG. Rather than subject myself to that kind of drudgery, I just watched the true ending on YouTube and am marking this complete. I'm too old for this, for real. I don't wanna have to run down a bunch of monsters and kill them over and over again for an ending. Sorry! Just gonna move on to [[Castlevania - Portrait of Ruin]] next and hope it's not as annoying!
