This is a faithful representation of Mortimer Adler's Syntopicon from *The Great Books of the Western World*, published in 1952 in the second and third volumes of the Great Books set. More specifically, it's a recreation in Obsidian of the "Inventory of Terms" found on pages 1303-45 of volume 3. It contains the 102 Great Ideas (capitalized) and the 3,000 or so "terms" or keywords that the researchers used to identify the major ideas and themes of the 443 Great Books contained in the set. By clicking on any of the words in the list at the left, you can see the Great Ideas they link to. You can then click on any of the Great Ideas or you can expand the interactive graph at the right by using the arrow to expand the local graph or the network icon to see the entire graph. Note that the interactive graph of the capitalized Great Ideas includes not only the other Great Ideas they link to but also the terms that link to them. You can zoom in or out, hover over any node to see its links, click on it to go to that note, and even drag them around the screen. The only things you can't do are overwrite the data or delete it, because this is read-only. I hope it's useful!
