Megapoli Worlds like Drusis, Kusneto Prime, Vurmaria, Gamma Caelus and so forth all have a common trend- massive planetary populations.  While ring world and orbital arcologies are the norm in the wake of [[the warring factions period|The Warring Factions Period]] and fears of orbital bombardment some planetary colonies persisted in keeping to planets despite the belief planets were out of fashion.  The megapoli arose during the vanguard age and kept growing for centuries onwards.  They are large cityscapes with radically different standards of living, syndicates ruling different parts of them and multiple layers of orbital satellites that act as intermediaries between the void and the megapolis.  Such megapolis often can be seen from space as a continent sized blotch of light smothering over the floodplains of the world they occupy with the rest of the world radio silent, pitch black and dark by design due to how regulatory boards often prefer to leave 80% of a planet "open territory".  In practice these "open territory" regions are fairly populated as well, often underground and full of secret defense systems with amphibious STO submarines hidden in the seas.  Drusis is the most fitting world of this description, as the watery regions of Drusis and its "reefs" were built not on continents but archipelago regions in the endless rain.  The endless rains of Drusis are regarded as a wonder despite there being similar instances in other parts of the galaxy, but those are not in the reach of the grand assembly with centuries of human activity.
