I was recently asked for some resources to learn Obsidian. I decided to archive them here. --- Here is a video I recommend starting with:Ā  [https://youtu.be/3ccktMJ1YHI?si=zgOhZ0MDfRxPRoQp](https://youtu.be/3ccktMJ1YHI?si=zgOhZ0MDfRxPRoQp) And this one may be overwhelming (it is super long) but it covers just about everything: [https://youtu.be/WqKluXIra70?si=fudvI-gDg48s7ezr](https://youtu.be/WqKluXIra70?si=fudvI-gDg48s7ezr) Otherwise I just google when I want to do something and there is usually a way. For example you can insert a PDF! [https://curtismchale.ca/2023/11/08/handle-pdfs-natively-in-obsidian/](https://curtismchale.ca/2023/11/08/handle-pdfs-natively-in-obsidian/) Your other option is to take and post a photo. Or sometimes I photograph notecards. Both examples here: [https://publish.obsidian.md/sarahshotts/The+Compost+Heap/%F0%9F%A5%95+Kitchen+Scraps/Kids+Speak+Image](https://publish.obsidian.md/sarahshotts/The+Compost+Heap/%F0%9F%A5%95+Kitchen+Scraps/Kids+Speak+Image) Other times I might photograph a book page with my phone and use this feature to copy and paste text from an image. This feature is called ā€œLive Text.ā€ Iā€™m not sure if there is an Android equivalent. [https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/how-to-use-live-text-iphone](https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/how-to-use-live-text-iphone) If youā€™re interested in publishing online I useĀ ObsidianĀ Publish. There are other ways, but this is very simple (around $8 a month.) [https://obsidian.md/publish](https://obsidian.md/publish) Themes (to change design) are relatively easy, but it was really challenging to get the theme to upload toĀ ObsidianĀ Publish and I canā€™t remember how I did it! But here is the theme I use.Ā  [https://minimal.guide/home](https://minimal.guide/home) Happy digital gardening & note taking!Ā  --- ###### šŸ Cross Pollination [[Digital Garden]] --- ###### šŸŒ± Gardenerā€™s Notes Added: July 1, 2024 Tended: --- #### Tags šŸ„ #obsidian #alt-text #digital-gardens
