A teacher creating an online course cannot know what you know and don't know as they create a course. And they can't cover *every possible* prerequisite to your learning. Therefore, all books, all forms of media, all teachings whatsoever exist as an "ABC E G J" system. The teacher may present "ABC" and leave out "D", assuming it's common knowledge, or because they just didn't think to present it. They may be blind to the problems a beginner has. Or they never needed that puzzle piece. Assumptions will always be there, but the author or Course Creator does not necessarily know what those assumptions are. The solution so far, for the teacher has been to repeat the course enough times so that the teacher can fill in the blanks, normally after a lot of teaching in person 1:1 or with small groups. If you have tried most online courses, you will find that: 1) the material is fixed, and not [[What is evergreen content|evergreen]]. 2) It is hard to [[Contact me|get in touch with the teacher]] 3) The teacher seldom responds. 4) Even if they respond, only your question is answered *for you*, and it's hard or impossible for other students to find it on a forum/FB group or at the end of the content. 5) The teacher can't shoot new video content and restructure a course every time a question comes up, so it stays outdated. 6) As a result: The teacher is mostly focused on marketing and sales for the "outdated/insufficient" course, instead of constantly improving it, which would *actually* serve the students best. I knew I could make money at courses, but I also wanted students to succeed, so I spent years trying to figure out how to overcome all of these problems. I think I've found it. ## What is the new way? Imagine you've written a course and you've published it. Someone starts to ingest the content, and gets to a certain place and says, "this isn't clear". They would benefit from more explanation. They click a link, type a few words, and 24 hours later, *the course has been customized for exactly what they need* to keep going. The site you are looking at now allows me to do that. From now on, I will create all my course content in this system. Each page is easily updatable, and I can add new pages instantly. The new content is available to all learners as fast as it is created and fits in the perfect place easily and quickly. The content can have a "Table of Contents", but it can also be interlinked throughout, allowing the student to travel through it in the way that serves them best.
