Sarah was a woman, called to submit to her husband, not rule over him. Was not her demand to Abraham out of bounds? What gave Sarah the right to insist that Abraham's first-born son should be banished from his household, let alone forbidden to inherit his father's wealth?
God's words to Abraham show he was most upset with Sarah. Nonetheless, God commanded the man to attend to Sarah's words, and obey them as though they were His own. Indeed, they were.
