## How do I access my Rosemont email account?
**Basic set up info was emailed to the personal address you used to sign up for classes**!
It should be called 'Welcome to Rosemont College' and will have been sent by either Dan Mason ([
[email protected]](mailto:
[email protected])) or Liam Fennell ([
[email protected]](mailto:
[email protected])).
If you can't find it, please email [
[email protected]](mailto:
[email protected]) and we will resend it to you.
This Welcome email includes your new user name, and also a temporary password for you to use. The temporary password will allow you to set your own password.
1. Go to [email.rosemont.edu](http://email.rosemont.edu "Link")
2. Use your new @rosemont.edu email address as the user name
3. Enter the temporary password and follow the instructions to set your own.
4. Follow the additonal steps to connect your phone for Multi-Factor Authentication, which verifies your identity and safeguards your account.

## How do I get my Rosemont email on my phone?
Rosemont College utilizes the Outlook app through Microsoft 365 for college e-mail accounts. To learn how to download the app to your mobile device, follow the link below!

## Are Microsoft 365 and the Office tools free with my Rosemont email address?
**Yes!** These are terrific tools used throughout the business world, and getting used to using them is part of your education. Learning to take advantage of them will help you in countless ways throughout not just your college career, but your career in general.
Microsoft 365 is the online cloud-based software tool which provides you the Outlook email app, the OneDrive file storage app, and Office 365 apps (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) you will use to complete your course work in many classes. OneDrive provides 1 terabyte of storage. Files you upload to OneDrive can then be accessed anywhere, so long as there is internet access!
You are able to **download Microsoft 365 on up to 5 personal devices** if you prefer to use the desktop program version and not the web-based browser version.
**Microsoft 365 is accessible from any device that has a web browser, no installation needed!** There are **app versions** as well, which you can find in your preferred app store.

## Does Canvas have a phone app?
**YES**! You can access your Canvas courses on the go with the Canvas Student mobile app! Go to your preferred app store and search for Canvas Student Version (not Teacher Version). Then after you install it, Rosemont College will be one of the schools in the list to pick from.
Each course you take will have a Canvas component, though some (such as online or hybrid) will use it much more extensively than others.
From any device, Canvas allows students to:
• View grades and course content
• Submit assignments
• Keep track of course work with to do list and calendar
• Send and receive messages
• Post to discussions
• Watch videos
• Take quizzes
• Receive push notifications for new grades and course updates, and much more!

## How do I print on campus?
You can use your Rosemont email account and its associate Onedrive to print on any Campus printer that's located in a public space, such as:
- The [[Student Academic Success Center (SASC)]] (Lower Level of Mcshain / Science)
- The [[Gertrude Kistler Memorial Library]] (near the circulation desk. and in the basement)
- [[Lawrence Hall]] (2nd Floor Faculty Lounge)

#### Instructions for printing

1. create a new email and use the **attach file paper clip button** at the top
- sometimes the paper clip disappears; you can find it again by doing **Insert > Attach File**
2. You can 'Browse this computer' and locate any file you want to print, or directly click on the Onedrive cloud icon.
- All 365 documents (Word / PowerPoint / Excel) get **automatically saved** to your [[OneDrive]]
- So if you type a paper in Word, you'll always find it stored in Onedrive.
- Onedrive also preserves a history of edits and changes, so you can go back in time to earlier versions!
3. After it is attached, type **print** into the To field and the email address will be the long one that pops up:

- select that address and press send!
4. Now, go to any printer in a public space. The Library and SASC ones are the most accessible.
5. At the printer, use your [[SIS ID]]#, which is found on your ID card, to get into your printer account.
1. Tap on the **Secure Print** button in the center of the screen.
2. Select the document from your queue (**can take up to 10 minutes**, please be patient!)
3. Click either **Print + Keep** or **Print + Delete**

## How do I connect to the Campus Wireless Network
Depending where you are on campus, the wireless network is called either **Roseconnect** or **New-Roseconnect 5G**.
They both use the same case-sensitive password: **gertrude19010**

## How do I rent or Buy Textbooks
As soon as you get your Fall 2022 Schedule, you can go on our College's E-Bookstore and order your books! To do so, follow the steps below or [download this step by step guide](https://simages.ecampus.com/images/vbs/pdf/Generic-How-to-Order-Flyer-2020.pdf):
1. Head on over to our College's bookstore website: [https://rosemont.ecampus.com/](https://rosemont.ecampus.com/)
2. Locate the "Order Textbooks" Button
3. Select the term you are ordering books for
4. Enter the Department, Class Number & Section you are looking to order a book for. **If you need to add more classes, click "Add more courses"**
**Example:**
Department: Accounting
Class Number: 0200
Section: 01A
5. Once you have entered all of your class information, click the "Find Material for Courses" Button
6. A "My Course Materials" page will appear, listing all required books and access codes needed for the course. To purchase the textbook or Access code, be sure to check the "BUY" or "RENT" box next to each item.When all are selected, hit "Add Items to Cart" to checkout.
**If you choose to purchase your books from another site, please make sure you purchase the correct edition!**

1. After entering your student ID, click on the "First Time User" link.
2. Answer questions to identify, select security questions and answer, create a PIN, and read and accept the Terms & Conditions. Click Submit.
