Old man says religions are like maps that lead to the collective good of society. Maps are different, and some are better than others, but the maps that exist are the ones that have worked for those that made them. (Side note: in this chapter the Narrator calls the old man "Mr. Avatar" again. I'll keep calling him the old man still. I'm attached to it at this point.) ## My 2 cents I think this is a decent definition of knowledge, generally. That includes religion and the cultures surrounding them.
