### **Anti-Fascist Films & Videos**:
There have been many excellent documentaries about anti-fascist history that have come out recently. We have a very extensive playlist of hundreds of anti-fascist YouTube videos you can check out [here](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtQOJpeMC2FyCHW7U7v3w5qWiq4hi3UJL). Here are some worth watching:
- [The Good Fight: The Abraham Lincoln Brigade In The Spanish Civil War](https://youtu.be/f_G_JkaTlBU?si=pmpTYXYhfjaOuD2P) (1:38:24): this documentary profiles some of the heroic anti-fascists who volunteered to travel to Spain to fight against Franco’s fascists during the Spanish Civil War.
- [The 43 Group: The Unfinished War](https://youtu.be/aSNkTnIsWho?si=KkrQgqQ9oxZsZlYZ) (20:30): tells the story of a group of Jewish servicemen who returned to London after WW2 only to discover fascists _still_ operating in their communities and what they did about it. [Our friends at Working Class History have also done an excellent three-part podcast about the 43 Group that’s well worth a listen!](https://workingclasshistory.com/podcast/e35-37-the-43-group/)
- [Black Panthers For Self-Defense: Vanguard of the Revolution](https://youtu.be/osdNvk6CCKs?si=Je8d_ICayYTrRq9f) (1:53:22): A very comprehensive overview of the Black Panther movement in the 1960s-1970s.
- [Young Rebels: The Story of The Southall Youth Movement](https://youtu.be/OGWX233kHPg?si=whbRB9GXTWiac93N) (1:03:42): Decades after the heyday of the 43 Group, the South Asian community in a different part of London organized to defend itself from racist attacks. This documentary tells the story in the words of those on the front lines.
- [Beating The Fascists: The Untold Story of Anti-Fascist Action](https://youtu.be/RuC5KDhhZYI?si=pmjEtfGZUrZBPAEf) (5:07) and [Fighting Talk](https://youtu.be/rW_niHkEXGM?si=x8z8l5QZ8iAE66xa) (29:32) : both recount the exploits of Anti-Fascist Action (AFA), the direct descendants of the 43 Group and the main force opposing far-right extremism and fascism in the UK in the 1980s and 1990s.
- [Antifa: Chasseurs de Skins](https://youtu.be/Fjw9ct1xjzg?si=oUh9Vf7krxJ-rbHm) (1:05:13): this legendary French documentary (with English subtitles) reveals how disparate groups of Parisien youth came together to run neo-nazis off the streets.
- [Anti-Racist Skinheads Fighting Nazis: The Baldies](https://youtu.be/8BSDZ1DIEIQ?si=o0lgiIed2XNIM9x-) (51:44): It often surprises people to find out that not only is the skinhead subculture not inherently racist but that many (and likely the majority of skinheads) have been actively anti-racist. The Baldies - the world’s first explicitly anti-racist skinhead gang (pre-dating SkinHeads Against Racial Prejudice), formed in Minneapolis in the mid-1980s and were instrumental in the creation of the Syndicate - a network of anti-racist skinhead crews in the midwest, as well as Anti-Racist Action - the predominant North American anti-racist youth movement of the 1980s-1990s. This documentary explores how the Baldies began and their influence to this day.
- [The Antifascists](https://youtu.be/XYHnd4boUoM?si=Konfpbx3EP_5UjGx) (1:14:45): this 2017 documentary gives a comprehensive overview of antifascism in Europe in the early 21st century.
- [Antifascist Attitude](https://youtu.be/ZNDHe1NLcc4?si=BuEDhZF58v4oVqGQ) (10:00): while it’s true that there’s nowhere where being antifascist is risk-free, that is an understatement when it comes to antifascists in Russia, as this documentary illustrates. [Sad But True: In Memory of Our Friend](https://youtu.be/P_pfgPf3PG0?si=A2w9nWLpyHMY-rZA) (50:32) drives the point home with a portrait of Ivan “Vanya” “Bonecrusher” Khutorskoy, an infamous Moscow anti-fascist skinhead who was shot to death in a 2009 assassination by nazis.
