### Project MAIL STORM
This is a Postal Uprising. We will use mail to flood the USPS, courts, WH, and Congress with good ol' fashioned mail. ANYONE can do this from home, especially if you're unable to attend protests or live actions. On socials use # projectmailstorm
The paper is mightier than the sword:
- Civil Rights movement volunteers flooded Congress with mail.
- ACT UP pressured the FDA.
- Our mailing efforts will shine the spotlight on the necessity of the USPS.
What to write? Simple:
"We're watching you." "Do your job." "You're failing the American people."
Add a sticky note to junk mail that you send them.
"Here's garbage for doing garbage work."
Envelopes require more processing than postcards. Use odd sized envelopes. Write DO NOT DISCARD in red ink.
Be creative. A return address is not needed.
### Leave-Behind Example When Meeting w/ Members of Congress
Make a lasting impact with your U.S. Senators and Representatives by providing them with what's known as a leave-behind. This can be a simple flyer that reiterates what action(s) you're requesting of them, an entire folder with resources pertaining to your objective, etc. About one week following the meeting, you'll want to reach out to the lawmaker's office, asking if they had a chance to review the leave-behind and to see if they have any questions.
