They all flee together to the woods. - Jasper has decided to take a more active role in leadership - Aeodan shows up to prove Jasper is a citizen, when they arrive at his cell he is gone. - In the woods: - [[Nimrod]] and Jasper make the connection that Bran was the shadow leader of the rebels - [[Nimrod]] and Jasper reminisce about Bran saying his catchphrase "There is always Chaos at the Bac" - Jasper realizes that there are raw uncut crystals hidden in the Bac. - Bran was instrumental in installing infrastructure and the Bac is a hidden source of worship/reverence to chaos. - After the revelation the two toast to Bran and a monkey climbs out of the trees to greet them. They have inadvertently apotheosized Bran and now he is MonkeyBran the god. - Note - MonkeyBran is the reflection of Bran's memory, not Bran the person. Bran's real memories and personality live in the Mare, trapped in the Mithran Circles of Hell. (more on this later) Our [[Characters]] don't know it but Bran was the first to discover and develop the Mithran's [[Magic]]. Once he learned the truth of what it was for he escaped, changed his name and moved to the only 'free' place left in the Republic, [[Lindum Colonia]]. - The instability of the lattice, rebel activity and death of the dumvirum give the Republic justification for declaring martial law and installing [[Mithrans]] in city. > **This chapter reveals:** >
