# Radar / Spider Chart **Always shown** — the primary visualization for every analysis ## What it shows The spider chart plots each option as a colored polygon across all criteria axes. The further a polygon extends toward an axis label, the higher that option scores on that criterion. Overlapping polygons show where options are comparable; separated polygons show where they diverge. ## How to read it - **Large polygon = stronger overall option** (across all criteria) - **Spikes toward specific axes** = that option's relative strengths - **Shrinkage on an axis** = weakness on that criterion - **Colored fill** = each option has a distinct color, consistent throughout the app ## Drill-down Axis labels shown in **green** are drillable — click one to zoom into its sub-criteria. You'll see the same chart shape, now showing the 2–4 sub-components that make up that criterion. Click the **↩ center** or "All criteria" to return to the top level. ## Tips - Compare the overall polygon sizes first (who wins overall), then look for axes where the gap is largest (where the decision is really being made) - Sub-criteria drill-down is most useful when two options are close on a criterion and you want to understand what's driving the similarity or difference --- [← Back to visualizations](Introduction%20to%20Decision%20Helper.md#-visualizations)
