## QuadToneProfiler-Pro 1.5.0 ### Released June 5, 2023 ### New Features - Added new features to the Quad Curve Remapping module that allow you to migrate the quad curve to different printer models and load the correct QTR ink list and header information to match the PPD file of the Quad-*xxxx* printer - This is mainly to fix a common problem with updating P700-P900 curves from the older version of the app based on QTR v2.8.1 that did non support the MK and V channels to the latest version that does( QTR v2.8.2 and later) - The new remapping tool will also let you convert curves from printer models that have a different number of inks or ink cartridge codes - Added native support for command+O or double clicking a .qtp or .qtpc file to launch the app and open the file - Added support for standard macOS file menu items and window management - Open, Open Recent and Save options are now available from the File menu that are specific to the foreground window or module - Dragging supported file types onto the app icon will launch the app and prompt to you to choose what module to load (different choices will be available based on the file type) - Updated the Manual Curve Control in the Linearization and Curve Editor modules and renamed the "Standard Curve" button to "Perceptual Rendering" - The input and output control point values manual curve have be changed for better screen to print match based on a slightly modified perceptual rendering found printing with an ICC profile (this change if primarily for high-dMax gloss prints that appear too dark when linearized straight L\*) - Added improvements to general efficiency to support background multi-threading for the most common correction curve and linearization tasks ### Bug Fixes #### Measurement File Bugs - Fixed a major bug with the measurement averaging formula that would copy the averaged a* value to both the a\* **and** b\* values when opening measurements with multiple samples per step - Fixed a bug that causes the app to crash when opening SpyderPrint measurement files with comma decimal place separators - Fixed a bug that causes the app to crash when opening SpyderPrint measurement files with a missing header row or files without row numbers #### SCTV Color Tint Linearization - Fixed a major bug in the CIELAB to XYZ values used in the correction calculation that would either casue the app the crash or create the wrong correction curve. - Now able to load measurement files with multiple samples per step. #### Custom Curve Creation - Fixed a bug that would cause the app to crash when adjusting the ink limit slider to a value where the dmax of that ink falls below the densities in the next-lighter ink. The resulting quad curves **will not** be correct, but the app will no longer crash.
