*[[Globicatella]]* *sanguinis* and *G*. *sulfidifaciens*. A gram-positive cocci in chains making small, α-hemolytic colonies. Might be misidentified as a viridans *[[Streptococcus]]*.

Part of the GI tract.
### Syndromes
A hodgepodge of infections, including bacteremia, [[endocarditis]], [[osteomyelitis]], and [[Meningitis]].
### Treatment
[[Vancomycin]] and penicillin are good choices. [^1]
Often with increased MIC to 3rd generation cephalosporins and [[meropenem]].
