[Olivia Caramello](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olivia_Caramello) is an Italian mathematician who works as an associate professor at the University of Insubria in Como, Italy. She is also the president of the Grothendieck Institute, a foundation for interdisciplinary research in mathematics. She is known for her work in **topos theory** and for developing the **theory of toposes as bridges**, which allows transferring information between different mathematical theories by using toposes. She has written a book on this topic called **Theories, Sites, Toposes: Relating and studying mathematical theories through topos-theoretic bridges**. She has also organized international conferences on topos theory and is an editor of the journal Logica Universalis.
