# Thematic Number
A **thematic number** is a re-occurring number that points to a larger theme. One Knight Stand uses numbers in a deliberate way.
# The Thematic Numbers
You will see the following numbers repeat themselves:
## The Number 4
- Your *Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day* that starts the game in Book 1 occurs in four major patterns (at least you'll be able to address these four events during [[Adrian's Chapter 1 Introduction]]):
1. The [[Midnight Mauler]] attack
2. [[The First Dream]]
3. [[Devil's Mark]]
4. The haunted apartment
- Starting with [[The First Dream]] and **consistently** resuming in [[Chapter 1-2]], choices are usually split into four options.
- Most major customization hubs will give you four options.
## The Number 7
- Starting **consistently** in [[Chapter 1-2]], many choices are split into seven options.
- For starters: [[Adrian's Chapter 1 Introduction]].
- You'll find **seven** [[harbinger|harbingers]] to form a Lesser Circle of Seven.
## The Number 9
- You can mention the number nine during the elevator ride.
## The Number 13
- Starting **consistently** in [[Chapter 1-2]], some choices are split into 13 options.
- For starters: [[Adrian's Chapter 1 Introduction]].
- You'll need to find **13** total [[harbinger|harbingers]] to form a Greater Circle of Thirteen.
- See: [[Thematic Number of ROs]]
- You can turn off your TV/monitor in [[The Legend Begins...|Chapter 1-1]] 13 times for an achievement.
