But this was too undefined and noisy. You could only hear the friction of the velcro against the string or other object, not the string/object being excited by the velcro. - I decided to use the loop side of the velcro instead. Using this I still get enough friction for the strings to be excited, but the string still has room to resonate. ## Assemblages - [[202305242210 Assemblage I.42]] - [[202306021411 Assemblage I.L1.42.65]] - [[202306101455 Assemblage B.E3L+R.42]] ## Open questions ## Workshop notes - [[2022-05-24]] [[202305242210 Assemblage I.42]] | It's possible to lay [[202305172117 Object 42 (Handheld Fan With Velcro)]] down on the side of the [[202306021350 I1 (Austrian concert zither)]] so that the sound can be perpetuated without needing to hold it. - [[2022-06-03]] | [[202305172117 Object 42 (Handheld Fan With Velcro)]] will start to heat up when there is too much friction for an extended period of time (2-3 mins of use). - [[2022-06-03]] | Place the [[202306012209 L1 (Shure SM57 Microphone)]] on the left side of the [[202306021350 I1 (Austrian concert zither)]] to get less interference from the [[202305172117 Object 42 (Handheld Fan With Velcro)]] motor. ## Research recordings - [[202306012235 Recording I.L1.42.65]] - [[202306012218 Recording I.L1.42.65]] - [[202306101302 Recording B.E3L+R.42]] ## History *What have other people done with it?* ## Recordings *Recordings of other people using it.* ## Potential & Ideas ## Related Objects - Handheld fans - [[202204072153 Object 17 (Handheld Fan)]] - [[202303252104 Object 18 (Non-Electric Handheld Fan)]] - [[202305172056 Object 41 (Handheld fan)]] - [[202305172118 Object 43 (Handheld Fan Without Blades)]] - [[202305172120 Object 53 (Handheld Fan usb)]]
