An instant favorite that I think might turn into a comfort watch for me!
Jennifer Connelly is amazing here as Sarah, and Bowie as the Goblin King is so much fun. The puppets are all very entertaining and loveable, and I would probably have a blast to have them as my friends.
The scenarios are gorgeous and/or terrifying, and shows how much I prefer practical effects and scenarios over all the CG that we have today.
Now I want to read Sarah's book (the fictional Labyrinth book). I know that there are sequel and prequel comics, but it would really be nice to see another movie or limited series in the same universe. Unfortunately chances of getting a movie with puppets and practical effects like here are zero I guess.
What I don't want is to drop into the fart pool.
Soundtrack is good, and as you would expect on a movie with David Bowie, wonderful musical acts!! _Dance Magic Dance_
I really do need to watch more 80s fantasy! Maybe **Legend** or **The Dark Crystal** will be next?
