This bibliography lists sources used to create this site with links to pages giving tables of contents and/or brief summaries or abstracts for these sources. A secondary goal for this bibliography is to form the foundations for a guide to help students and instructors chose which textbooks to use as well as what topics to focus on at different stages based on how numerous authors structure different topics.
Throughout these entries I attempt to map textbooks onto particular courses as well as name prerequisites for those courses. As a general rule, authors tend to be rather generous with introducing information from prequisite texts in the first chapter or first few chapters of their textbooks. Thus, even if you're not ready for a particular topic, but you really want to try, you can make sure you master the chapters that introduce such prerequisite knowledge. Otherwise, these chapters are often skipped in actual courses.
Unless otherwise stated, I refer to courses as they are typically organized in the _United States,_ since that's where I'm largely educated and also representative of who many textbooks are for.
# How I choose sources
I spend a lot of time browsing through different books and papers. There are three overlapping categories of material:
* Whatever my professors use to teach or wrote themselves.
* Whatever is cited on wikipedia article references.
* Anything that gives me an aha moment.
* Primary sources that are considered to be the first to describe a particular invention or phenomenon.
