The Merchant Circle is comprised of the leaders of these five great clans, as well as the mayor of [[Embla]], as representative of the people, and the circle chair, responsible for ensuring the clans work together to serve the city. Outside of these seven, only a rare few invited guests have been allowed to attend a meeting of the Merchant Circle. The eighth chair in the circle chambers is reserved for the gods.
