#zettel #gaming # Grinding in Pokemon Scarlet is Honestly Not So Bad Grinding in Pokemon Scarlet ain't too bad, not gonna lie. Obviously it sucks that you can't choose whether or not you want to have automatic experience sharing, but frankly, it's not going away. It's been around since Gen 6 with the revival of the EXP All, and was canonized in Sword and Shield as a permanent feature, so at this point one might as well work around it it and raise as many Pokemon for a team as possible. Casseroya Lake is easily the best place to grind near the end of the game. Level 50 wild Pokemon and trainers make it easy for me to get my mons who were lagging around level 40 all easily up to Level 50 and and beyond. Meowscarada is the best mon to use too, given it gets powerful Grass, Fairy, Dark and Bug coverage that can effectively handle about 90% of the Pokemon you find in the space. In general, the grinding in this game comes pretty naturally as I continue to explore the world. I appreciate that it's easy to continuously raise more than six Pokemon. I think that was kind of the point of this game, to use more than six Pokemon on a rotation and even doing so now, I think it's the best way to play the game with the power of hindsight. Playing through with only 6 makes it pretty likely that you'll be overlevelled. I'm raising 18 and I still find that I have mons that are overlevelled. But it's a fun experience, so I don't mind, it's better to be able to raise a lot of pokemon than to have the level scaling issue that's so prevalent in [[Pokemon Heart Gold|Heart Gold and Soul Silver]]. Furthermore, because the grinding in [[Pokemon Scarlet]] isn't so bad, [[Level Scaling in Pokemon Scarlet Allows Me To Experiment with Party Members, which is fun]]
